Does anyone else work the night shift so you have to sleep during the day?

Currently I work 12 hour night shifts at my work. 5:30pm to 5:30am so I always am doing the majority of my sleeping during the day. If anyone else is in this type of situation what do you do to make sure you sleep during the day when everyone else is up? I've gotten blackout sheets + curtains for my room so it looks like a coffin during the day it's as dark as night, I love it!! It's usually pretty quiet in my apartment complex so I really haven't found the need for ear plugs yet. The walls are built pretty good too here so if my sister is out watching TV I don't ever really hear her. Sometimes too if I can't get to sleep and I know I have to work again the next day I'll take Tylenol Simply Sleep and I'm out instantly and won't wake up until my alarm goes off.

I do free lance stuff at home. However, my time frame is still switched like yours. I like sleeping during the day because I can function more at night. And I've been on this particular time schedule since 2004 when I graduated high school. I also have to take pills to keep me focused during night hours.

I also work night shift, 9pm-6am. When I get off from work, I don't sleep yet coz I still have tons of things to do. I am taking care of my son first. I am making sure that I am spending quality time with him everyday. I don't have a nanny at home. It's my husband who look after him when I am at work and vice versa...And, i get to sleep when he's already asleep in the afternoon like around 130pm. So, I only have like 3-4 hours of sleep during the day. I fall asleep easily coz I am already tired and sleepy when I get the chance to sleep, lol!
