Okay, I like my pancakes dripping with butter and syrup. My daughter, on the other hand, eats hers with just butter - no syrup - and, when she was a kid, she would eat them with ketchup (ewwww). Of course, she ate ketchup on everything when she was a kid. LOL
So, do you guys like your pancakes sweet or not?

Ketchup I like a lot of butter, just a dab of syrup. My husband on the other hand will drench his pancakes in syrup. So to answer your question, No I do not like my pancakes sweet.

When I make pancakes, I drop chocolate chips on top of the mix as it's in the frying pan. Then when I flip them over, the chips melt inside of the pancakes. Mmmmmmm....
Then I put butter and syrup on them too!
My whole family loves them that way.

For the longest time my son would not eat anything but butter on his pancakes. He would turn his nose up at syrup. Now he will occasionally put some syrup on his. I like mine with butter and syrup, but sometimes I eat them with just butter.

Hi lily, how are you? It seems like most men I have observed tend to not like the sweetness as much. I don't know why, but they just like things to not be too sweet. Of course, there are exceptions; my brother-in-law likes to use a good bit of syrup on his pancakes. But, generally, I see men are stingy when adding syrup.
Thanks for responding, and have a wonderful day.

I like my pancakes with syrup only. And maybe with a little butter. I've never really tried any other pancake flavor other than the original buttermilk. I guess I haven't really lived outside of my comfy box. I just like things to be plain sometimes. But I do like drowning the pancakes in lots and lots of syrup.

I like my pancakes to be the buttermilk kind of pancakes stacked high with lot's of butter and syrup. I order those most often when I go out to eat at a resturant for breakfast. I could never get bored of pancakes for there so addicting and yummy. I must say kids will do the strangest things and makes us parents wonder lol
my son who is 9 has some weird eating habits himself but as long as their eating I let himdo it I just have to laugh inside as to not hurt his feelings just because of the way he likes something.

Hi Remembering, how are you doing? Yep, that's the kind I like too. Although, I only like to eat them once-in-a-while, because they are rather heavy on the stomach. And, also, I like to have a big, icy cold glass of milk to drink with them.
Thanks for responding.

I like variety in my toppings, so here is the list of what I've had:
real maple syrup only or butter and maple syrup
real maple syrup and walnuts
real maple syrup and bananas
real maple syrup, bananas, and walnuts
applesauce
brown sugar
brown sugar and butter
jam or jelly-all kinds from strawberry and raspberry to apple and apple mint
cold (previously cooked the night before)pork and maple syrup
sausages with and without maple syrup
My Dad and I used to pour on syrup, put sausages or cold pork on top, roll it up and eat it like a hot dog.
So I like mine mostly sweet. The apple sauce without sugar isn't very sweet and pork without syrup, but everything else is. We used to have pancakes or French toast or waffles (less often) or eggs (less often)every Sunday. My Mom would rotate them. So once or twice a month- we had pancakes. My Dad would even get up on Sunday and make them sometimes. So when you have them that often, a variety of topics or additions is the way to go (we used to add berries back when they didn't cost so much, we do when we pick some, too).

Pancakes dripping with butter and syrup is the only way to eat pancakes, in my opinion. I don't much care for ketchup, haha.

I love my pancakes with syrup and sometimes with butter as well. I love a really good pancake. I prefer it to a waffle. I wish I could have them both sometimes though, they are so delicious. They are fattening but nutritious.

Thank you, snowy, you are my first responder. Yes, they are fattening, which I don't need (LOL), but I don't have them very often. When I do, they have to be swimming in syrup! Gee, I just might have make pancakes for dinner tonight. Luckily, my daughter is up for anything. LOL Take care and enjoy those pancakes!

I love blueberry pancakes with syrup. I do not use butter anymore after they are cooked, as I use butter to cook them.
I also like banana pancakes same way as the blueberry pancakes.
My daughter also loves ketchup but she hates pancakes but since I have heard that other people like to use nuttella and jelly for the pancakes I guess ketchup is fine too.
