What to you is your definition of true contentment? Is it wealth, piece of mind, reaching a goal? Many times we define contentment with instant gratification and material and superficial items that don't last forever. And also, what helps define your definition of true contentment? Your environment, religion, belief?

What constitutes "best state of my life"? I believe that there has to be some background/upbringing/environment that's effected our mindsets on what defines success and failure, happiness and sadness, etc.

Material possessions do not bring lasting happiness. Efforts to gain riches often lead to unhappy families, broken health and spiritual ruin. So contentment, means being simple. Your happy with what you have, not striving so much for material things and not having anymore quality time for your family.
