some poeple can remeber back to things whent hey were like 2 years old. others dont really remeber much till they are 7 years old. how far can you remeber back i mean a clear memory not just parts or from someone telling you about it etc but really clear. mine is when i was about 4 years old. i remember the house we use to live in. i remeber the yard and playing on the snowy hill with an intertube and the next door neighbors. i wish i could remeber things before that when i stayed with one of my uncles me and him were really close but he joined the army when i was small and since then we only talk in letters i have seen him once since i was like 3 years old. but he is really specail to me. he tells me of things we use to do and i can rember him kindof and him carrying me on his shoulders but i cant rember anything else liek what he looked like the place we lived etc. so i dont think of that as a clear memory. how about you? what is your first real clear memory?

i think maybe i can remember back to when i was 4 or 5 years old~~
what i clearly remember is that in that year,my grandma,my brother-in-law, my sister-in-law and i were celebrating the mid-autumn festival on the second floor of the house~~we were eating, talking, and enjoying the moonlight~~i really enjoyed at that time~~
this question helps remind me of the past~~~
though i enjoy that kind of peaceful life when i was a kid,i can no longer have that kind of feeling~~~time has passed and things have changed~~

Wow! Good question!
I can remember back before elementary school being at my grandmother's house by the river and swimming in her pool. For some reason I can remember her house and her two story Christmas tree like it was yesterday, versus 41 years ago.

My first really clear memory is not wanting the teacher to take me to the bathroom in preschool. I can't go to the bathroom on my own because I have a disability. Of course, as I was only 4 or 5 I couldn't hold it all day and so wet myself. My mom yelled at me but not very much. She just told me not to do that again or I would be in trouble. After that I told people when I had to go to the bathroom.

People in our family are all a little bit different in the gifts that we have. Mine is the ability to remember most of my life - even my first birthday party. Mom was quite surprised when I was able to describe in detail the place that we lived and how my cake looked. I also told her about the neighbors cat where we lived when I was two, the apartment building when I was three and, and the neighborhood we lived in when I was four. (My parents moved alot back then due to my Dad's work). I have alot of clear memories of my childhood thankfully. Its a comfort to me now that my Mom has passed on.

For the most part, my clear memory starts when I was 5 and in kindergarten. I have a vague memory or two from earlier, but for some reason they're negative things. I don't know why that is. But since really I don't remember things clearly prior to kindergarten, which for me was 1970, I always say I don't remember anything about the 60s though I lived through half of them. My memory really starts in 1970.

My irst memory was of me sitting in my highchair in the kitchen, and seeing a flash o ligh. Some years later I saw a picture in my photo album hat I thought was oddly amilliar (I reognized where I was sitting, and the exact position too). I came to realize hat hat was my irst memory, and that the flash of light was my mother taking the piture that I was looking at. he captuion under the piture read "18 months"

Me, what I remember when I was 3 years old. My first reading books is a Music Book or what we call her Song Hits. I first learn to sing than of to read. I was good in english back then I don't know why now.And whenever my mother was going to work I always cry and I can remember the time that she will be returning home.I remember I was waiting at our big window, and when I finally saw her walking at our gate I am screaming her name. I remember also when my father was going to work, i kept his one pair of shoe so that he can't go outside. That is when I was three years old.

I remeber my parents holding my hand and walking along a city street. I'm sure it was before my sister was born so I was under 3. I would step off a curbhold my feet up and they would swing me between them when we crossed the street. I thought it was great fun as I recall. I also remember my grandad being in the car and falling forward and hitting my head on the dash when I was about three and he was worried about whether I was ok.

I would have to say around 3 or 4 years old . I remember when my baby brother was born , and holding , and when he was a little older playing with him . We are only a couple years apart. I remember being 4 and 5 very well , because that is the time I started school , and made some friends . I think we think we remember way back from all the pictures , and stories our parents have told us

i forgot what age i was when my father needs to go to other country using the back door just for us to have a decent living. We did not have any communication with him that time and he never know the suffering we had that time.It was a very awful experience to me and i refuse to forget it .It make me strong and smart when it comes to money. He left and left us with hope that things would be different .But the time he was in other place we have a hard time we only ate i don't know the name of that fruit we cook it and put some sugar in it and that's it from breakfast to dinner. We also sell some of it in the market so that we can eat different food. But i don't remember that we complained or cry that time.We just ate it with my mom. After how many years i forgot if it took years before my father come home he told us his story i pity him because he was only eating banana in that place and is always hiding. That is one of the vivid memory that i can't let go.Maybe you are asking why?Because my father family is well off they have a lot of land in the place we are living and i did not remember them helping my mom or giving us food that time.

The most remote memory that has stuck in my head was in 1965-i was bearly 2 years-a woman came to visit my mother-she carried along a piece of cake-remember I lived in the deepest corner of my village-too rural, you would need to go to town that was 28 km away to see a cake-now this stranger, only known to my mother gave me this cake-little did we know that it was glaised with poison-I started vomitting-and I was actually dying-the woman quickly disappeared-my mother rushed me to a nearby medicineman-I was given some antidotes-miraculously it healed me completely within a week-later i learned my killer left the village and was never seen again! But that incident has never left my head- l still remember the very tree under which I was served the cake-luckily it was just one piece of cake!

I can remember back as far as when I was 5 I remember my foster sister Linsay and I used to always play with the next door neighbors Billy and Eddie. I remember I used to play with my friend Nicole and her sister Monique. Nicole and I were a year apart and the fun we used to have playing in the yard on the swings and in the sand box. It has been many years now sice I have talked to Nicole and would love to know how she is doing. It's just amazeing how our minds let us remember things so far back in time.

I have pretty much a continuous memory going back to age 3. Some things are more vivid than others, but it is continuous.

Yet that's true. It varies in every person. On my part, I can still recall some events in my life like when i was 1. My parents can't believe it that i can still vividly tell them things happened to me when i was that young but not all things can be remembered. Few important or significant moments maybe. But funny, i sometime can't even recall the latest things that had happened to me.

I can remember some events from when i was 18 months old. Lord knows how I can remember this far back, but I remember my dad hitting my mum and I cried. Maybe I only remember it because I could sense the danger. I remember everything clear from being about 2 years old. And pre school! The fun days :D
