Well, I've just hit my 255th post. And I remembered something about computer games. I don't know, but on RPGs, 255 is the maximum number you could get on stats right? That's what I've been wondering about. I think it has something to do with the prgramming of that game that lets you have a maximum of 255 in any stats, although other games limit this. Even on MMORPG, I could only get my stats to 255. So I'm just wondering about that, I know we have a lesson about the 255 but I forgot it already. Anyways I think no one will respond to this, but for some please do, especially those RPG fans out there.
And give an instance of a game that can do 999 in stats, with no cheat.

Guess what the hexadecimal value of 255 is?
That's right. It's FF or 1111 1111 in binary. The maximum of an unsigned 8-bit number. From the start, it was to save space since bytes cost a heck of a lot during the earlier days of computer games. Now, it's merely norm. XD

Yes, given that you have to do something to achieve it. I don't know 12 that much, and I'm talking about the old ones like Final Fantasy 8 and stuff, kinda knew it was in the programming but I can't figure which is which. Anyways thanks for the response. Have a nice weekend.
