is your so called best friend a real bestfriend?

i just want this one to be the topic.. basically based on my experience, i had my so called bestfriend when i was a gradeschooler.. this is the one i trust among my friends.. we grew up together, he really knows my secret almost everything.. we lost in touch during highchool and we got connected again in college.. this is the only person i treasured for about 14 years and i never expected that something will be done to me.. when i finished college., i worked in manila which is the capital of my country and worked there.. i encountered a lot of trials just to get the job thinking that if i get the job i can able to help him to get it too.. when i finally enjoying the job, i went back to my home town and very excited to see him and tell him the good news.. and also to bring him in the company where i am in .. since he also grew up having few things just like me.. when i came home, a bad news was brought to me.. he betrayed me.. he told everyone in town that i am not working here in manila, i was told that he advertised that i am just a loser who was trying to live in wealth and a social climber.. that i betrayed someone about money and did this and that.. etc.. at first i was so surprised and i didnt believe such speculations.. but i did something to prove if its true.. then i have proven it.. the years we shared together had all gone.. coz that is not the right person that must be treasured.. now i met someone in college and we have something in common.. fortunately my parents know his family.. and we are bestfriends for 6 years now and still counting.. for me being together for a long time is not the basis of having a besfriend.. it is always the friendship you are sharing and the trust, love and care that you are giving to each other.. now i can say that he is the great friend i ever had and the best of the best..
