I have not used those in a long time, I think maybe years ago when I was still a student but even then it was rare since USB drives came on the scene around that time
I doubt my floppy drive even works anymore so yeah, that long..

I must say Thank you for this post for the Discussion. As you mentioned that The USB and Other Flash devices in the form of SDMMC MMC M2 Micro very popular out there in the market. The main advantages of these Flash Devices are they faster, Compact size and cheap.
I must let You Know the tape drives or diskettes are not fully vanished out. you don't think that these magnetic storage's are has low storage capacity. nowadays the use of floppy disks are completely vanished in the home usage bcas it hes low storage capacity and too slow.
In companies they are running servers for maintaining their Databases to Store Employee details, Inventory Systems Etc. each and every employees salary details are updated in the database for a particular month. and again they are using the same database for upcoming month inventory details. due to the limitations of the storage of the server they are taking a BACKUP of the previous months Data. for this purpose they are using the magnetic tapes to take BACKUPS. usually these tapes are has LARGER VOLUME of STORAGE CAPACITY. and these can be reused easily. the main advantages of this tapes or diskettes are has very consistency and confidentiality of datas. the datas are recovered easily even it is damaged but you cannot do this in the flash drives.

I think I have never touch discette for about 3 years now. I like the USB Pendrive more.
The discette sometimes hard to be read by my PC and ask to format. Many of my important documents in disckette before cannot be recovered due to the useless of this discette.
Thanks to the invention of USB pendrive and external harddisk.

well i don't use floppies or diskettes anymore. I wish i could buy a USB/thumbdrive so i can have a file storage i could take with me... haha... i'll buy one soon.
Usually i just borrow my office USB drive. Hahah.
My old floppies eventually became a hassle to me when i was retrieving the files so i could get rid of them... Haaay.
Well if anyone's interested to know what happened you can read all about it at the link below. Feel free to comment anytime. =)

we do not have any diskettes anymore..hehehe when i am saving my files i use the USB i think diskette is obsolete now..most people now prefer the handy way of carrying and storing files for printing or for their lectures because as i have said USB is much more handy than diskettes..USB can be hanged around your neck unlike diskettes that you have to have a protective case for it to prevent any damage from it.
