System Restore is a component of Microsoft Windows which help you regain system files, programs etc, in case of a failure. It basically serves to provide you with a back-up.

decimus785 I don't boot from USB drive. but i once booted from a USB Thumb drive running portable Windows XP Live USB Edition and takes longer than booting from a PATA Hard Drive.
