I am so excited. I was beginning to get discouraged because for the longest time the scale wouldn't move. I compltely gave up soda, which I used to drink non stop, and have switched to almost completely calorie free drinks, as well as a lot of water. The only drinks I will have that have calories is orange juice in the morning and some milk here and there. I've been watching my calories and trying to eat healthier, as well as adding some excersize to my daily routine. I stepped on the scale this morning, and I am now finally down to where I was before I got pregnant with my youngest, and hopefully I can continue to lose from here. I've got at least another 40 lbs to go. Are you losing weight? How much would you like to lose? How much have you lost so far?

I've lost about 10 pounds, since I've started trying to lose weight. But now it seems I can not get that scale to move at all anymore! And I don't like why... Like you I've been drinking a lot more water and a lot less soda. I haven't been eating as much as I used too, and my job keeps me VERY active! So it's very frustrating that I can not lose any more weight, it baffles me! x.x

Sounds like you've hit a plateau, I hate those. If you switch it up a bit you may notice the weight begin to come off again. Put in a more intense work out a couple days a week, and shift your calorie intake just for a bit, and you may see some more weight come off.

WOW that's very nice to know. Even I am trying to loose some weight I already lost 5 kgs and wants to loose another 10 kgs to get back my figure I have put on weight after my second delivery. I am not following any diets but I am doing some workout exercise which is really helping me to reduce my weight. I am sure you will acheive your goal in short time. All the best.

Congratulations on your weight loss. I been trying to loose but it just dont come off. I dont drink soda at all but I do eat a lot of cheese and junk food. I am trying to loose at leat 20 pounds. I used to do a lot of walking but with the summer heat its to hot outside. And when I did walk I did not notice any drop in my weight.

Your body will adjust to whatever you're doing. If you don't usually excersize much, adding a bit of activity to your daily routine will help for awhile, but eventually your body will just adjust to it. You really have to switch things up every so often to sort of "trick" your body. Start with baby steps. Swap the junk food for healthier choices. Even if you don't lose much weight, at least you will know you are becoming healthier.

Yay! Congratulations. Nothing like success to motivate you to continue! I wish I could boast the same success. I lost 10 pounds, then gained 5, then lost 5, gained 6. So my net loss to date is 4 pounds. Better than nothing, but a little discouraging to gain it back. I'm still working. Every time I fall off the wagon I jump back on just as quick as I can. I'd like to lose about 30 pounds total. At this rate it will take longer than I had hoped.

The key is to make lifestyle changes. Start with 1 bad habit, and turn it into a good habit. Such as if you are a soda drinker, try drinking diet soda. The calories that will save you alone will show a dramatic change in your weight. Then you can switch the diet soda to something even healthier like water or juice or milk. I started by adding a glass of water in between sodas, and I drink calorie free flavored water instead of soda, with plain water in between each drink.

Congrats! It's funny how little dietary changes, like cutting out soda, can make a big difference. 7 lbs is nothing to sneeze at! I've lost about 30 of the 50 lbs that I packed on while being on a ton of medication, and I'm really having to work on the last 20 lbs. It's worth it to fit into my favorite pants again! Good luck in the rest of your weight loss. It's not easy, but it's a healthy change that I know I won't regret.

I will be extatic if I lose 30 lbs. I gained all my weight while pregnant with my twins, and have not been able to take it off since. I'm not aiming for stick thin or anything, and some people would probably still think I'm fat if I do hit my goal weight, but that is the weight I am aiming for and will be happy with. Actually right now I'm just happy to be where I am, because I haven't been even this size in over 5 years.

Good for you! Way to go! I know for some people it is so hard to lose those extra pounds. You sure have a great start. It amazes me how much soda can add on the weight. My hubby is a big guy and has also stopped drink soda and lost some weight. it is hard for him to lose from driving in the truck all day. No exercise. Good luck and keep up the good work.

That is part of my problem. I sit here on my fanny all day long and hardly excersize, plus the types of food I was eating did not help. I am trying to get up and move more often, but sometimes this computer keeps me chained here for hours, lol.

Way to go! I would like to lose at least 50 more pounds I have already lost about 30 over the last year. Keep doing what your doing and try not to get discouraged. It can be hard I know that for sure. I have had great success with cutting out a lot of refined sugars and diet soda is good to since it contains no sugar. Bread is a biggy for me so I try to buy only whole grains. Pasta and rice also is hard to cut out but a little once in a while is ok. Good luck on your weightloss.

Right now I'm not concerned with those particulars, I am just trying to cut out the junk food and soda, and lower my calorie intake while eating healthy. I am not concerned with carbs so much... and cutting them out of my diet would be near impossible with all the foods we eat. We have a potato or pasta dish everyday!

Congrats on your loss! It is so hard to loose weight. I have lost 15 pounds and would love to loose either 5-10 more. I loose more, then gain it back. I have been going back and forth on this last 7 pounds all summer long. I agree that soda is horrible to drink. I am down to one can of diet pepsi a day and other than that I drink either tea or water.

Congratulations! It's amazing that with a few small changes you can jump start your weight loss. You are doing the right thing. Just keep it up and keep tweaking your routine so that you will continue to lose. I've just recently lost 40 lbs myself and its amazing how good you feel. Your energy level soars and I think that helps your metabolism get faster. I quit soda as well and it has helped me lose those last stubborn 5 lbs. Good luck and I wish you continued success!

Congrats on losing 7lbs! I am currently trying to lose my baby weight (my son is now 4 lol)and I am doing pretty good. I have lost 20.5 lbs but I still have 20 to go until my pre-pregnancy weight. I haven't cut anything out of my diet, I could never give up foods I love not to mention my mountain dew, I just make sure I exercise at least twice a week. I swim a few times a week, I use my AbLounge, and my boyfriend's mom's airwalker. Seems to work for me that way.

Good for you! :D It's nice that you're not giving up. Currently, I have lost around 7 kilos (15.4 pounds). I've never lost this much weight from before. Maybe because I'm just staying at home for months. I don't do exercise because I have chondromalacia (some condition in the knee where the bones/cartilage is grating) and I wouldn't want to make it worse since cartilage is irreplaceable. What I do right now is to reduce my intake. I always take the calories into consideration but not too serious about it. I still eat some junk foods from time to time so as not to totally deprive me. Totally removing those from my diet will just make me crave for more. So I just take some little amount of those unlike before. Sometimes, my dinner is just two bologna sandwiches with mayonnaise, lettuce, and tomatoes. I feel happy after eating that because I know it's healthier than the junk foods I used to eat before. I'm currently 78kg (171.6lbs) and am targetting to hit 69 (151.8). After that, I'd like to go down to 65 then maybe my weight that time won't be that much and I can start exercising. By the way, I'm just 5 feet tall so I really need to go down with the weight :P Hope you won't give up. You feel great after losing 7 lbs, I know you'll feel best when you get rid of those 40 lbs. You go girl! :D

Before i started taking Herbalife powder, i had suffered so much with the joint pains, heavy feeling of the body, slight increse in my blood sugar etc. After knowing about the Herbalife, i started taking in the place of Breakfast and Dinner. For Lunch, no restrictions and then started going for Yoga also. Mix the powder with water for fast results. For me the metabolic rate is less, so it has taken 1 year to reduce 7 kgs. After that i am taking it only in the night to maintain my balance of the weight. As the powder is rich soya pritien, it cleared the natural health problems in the women.

Congrats! 7 pounds is great progress. I have lost about 5 pounds most from cutting out soda and replacing it with water. I also have a little more energy but Ive been trying to exercise more and that might be helping with the energy. I need to lost about 55 more but seeing any progress on the scale is exciting.

I have noticed I am more energetic too. We walked ALL day yesterday, and then came home and wrestled and chased the kids around the yard. Usually we would have just felt like going right to sleep after walking all day.

hi katsmeow good for you, losing is hard and you have made real progress. I remember gaining weight after each baby'and not really getting clear back to what I was before. Then I got in my fifties and all that weight I had gained caused me to become a diabetic. so I got to work and lost weight by lots of daily exercise and cuttingdown on calories so I would not' have to go on insulin. Since then I have gained back a lot of weight and need to lose about fifty pounds.so far I have only'lost about nine pounds. I have been house bound with shingles so have not got the exercise I need to lose more quickly. good luck to you and God Bless.

I am glad that you have lost weight, I don't drink much soda really, so that is not an option for me. I am trying to loose a little bit weight at the moment. At the beginning I wanted to loose 17 pounds but I would be happy with 14 pounds (1 stone) and so far I have lost 8 pounds over a period of 6 weeks, so I have another 6 left. The weight doesn't just drop off me as I am rather petite.

Very well done to you,its so hard to lose weight, and as you get older the harder it becomes, but it is good that you have lost that much, and that you intend keeping the diet up,you are doing it alone rather than use a club like Slimming world or Weight watchers, they are good clubs but you need to pay subscriptions every week with them.

Congratulations on your weight loss. I know what it feels like to get on the scales and actually realize you've lost a few pounds. I had started drinking lots of water, eating breakfast of one scrambled egg and a slice of cantaloupe, doing without much bread at all, and just cutting back. I stepped on the scales this morning and I have lost about 10 lbs or more. I needed to lose about 35, so if I could lose 25 more, I would be happy! I could still lose a few pounds below that, but by then, it starts really showing in the face, and I don't need that. Right now, I need to exercise and try to firm up the legs, stomach, and posterior. I just wish my treadmill wasn't broken. It would be so easy to just go down to the basement and walk!
