Saturday night I was out and about at a fair and my son wanted to go and watch this one ride to see how it worked... I thought ok lets go and watch what's the hurt.. AS we get down there and the ride starts a guy walks up beside me i am pretty sure he has one to many beers to drink, Started shouting "Hey Stupid" I looked at him with a what face... He was of course talking to either his wife or girlfriend... She wasn't paying any attention to him.. He said it louder but this time he started swearing it.. I looked at him again and really wanted to say something but was afraid too, being he was drinking I didn't want him to hit me or start anything.. This guy was so into this ladies face and calling her names that I just wanted to cry actually... I grabbed my son by the hand and moved over than the guy just got worse so I told my son we needed to go else where and took his hand and walked away.. After the guy and his lady left i went back to finish watching this ride and another guy says "was he getting to you?" I said that was wrong totally wrong... No one should ever be treated like that.. I would NEVER be with someone like that.. The guy giggles and i told him that was even close to being funny... Have you ever seen someone do this in public places? If so what have you done if anything?

I feel sorry for that woman. He sounds like a real creep, if he acts like that in public I can only imagine how he treats her at home.

Hi Howard I thought the exact same thing mainly when he got up in her face... I got chills and thought God good someone needs to get the police here.. mainly when he was doing that.. There were police but at the other end of the fair grounds... I really thought he was going to hit her from what I was seeing... I am still a little creeped for the fact he's still out there and still doing this.. Really sad situation for sure.. Thank you so much for your reply..

I agree that was uncalled for behavior in public especially. I feel sorry for this lady who puts up with this. She should get out of an abusive situation. I'm glad you removed your son from the situation. I don't blame you there at all.

I agree 100% but the truth is these women who are in abusive relationship won't leave they are afraid too.. not to mention when you ask them why they stay they only thing they can come up with is "I'm in love with him"... I have a lady friend that was in the exact situation I felt so bad for her.. That was the only answer she could come up with... Soon enough though before things got worse for her she went to a shelter and finally left her husband, she's doing alot better now as far as i know.. those are the kind of things i would love to see and not what i did... Thank you so much for your reply!

I would to of loved to have said something to him but with my son being present with me I didn't want him to hear that.. What gets me is that her children were right beside her as well as he was doing this.. I almost really wanted to cry.. I felt so bad and so helpless there wasn't anything I could do though...Thanks for your reply!

Saddly enough, yeah I have seen that plenty of times. It's sick really that there are jerks out here that feel it's OK to talk to another living thing like that, but what's worse is there are people that feel it's OK to be talked to like that. My sister-in-law is one of them. :o(
What would I do or what have I done? I have on a few occasions loudly inform the person my children were present and to please watch there mouths. This usually calms them down. Not that they really care about my kids hearing them, but normally other's don't take to well to jerks being rude to kids, so they know if they haven't ticked anyone off yet, they surely will if they push it after that.
Most of the time though, I just walk away from it, if it's a stranger. Now if they aren't....oh sweety I eat them fer lunch :o)

Yes I know and than minutes later they are over talking to there friends saying how stupid that person really is.. The sad thing is it makes them look more stupid for even considering doing something like that.. It's not a funny matter for sure but they sure think it is.. Thanks for the reply!

I get angry when people do this in public and would have said some thing. can you imagine what goes on at home for this poor woman. You are right you can not put your own child in the middle of it. I would have looked for a cop and seen if the woman might have need somme help.

Believe me I would have, but I didn't want my son to see it so I didn't do anything.. I felt helpless cause I was watching this and couldn't do anything to help this poor lady.. I am not the type of person who would let stuff like this happen but that day I had too.. When i got home I told my husband this and just broke down in tears.. All he could do was hug me and say it was wrong totally wrong and he was sorry I had to see that.. Thank you so much for your reply!!

Oh god, people have no respect for other people... you were right in taking your son away from the scene, it is completely inappropriate for him to act like that... i just hope people will start being more considerate from now onwards...

That's the sad part people like that don't change, If and when they do they tend to get beat up pretty bad themselves before they actually figure anything out.. But 99% of the time they don't care they just keep it up... It's an extreamly bad situation for any women to be in... But there are women that do the exact same thing to men as well... I've also seen that myself... Thanks for your reply!

The guy GIGGLED? Geez!!! DANG IT! One's as bad as the other. I can't believe people would do this. I would call the cops right then and there and report drunken behaviour in public.

Yeah sadly enough he did... I thought to myself how could he seeing the way the guy was up in her face like that and calling her names like that.. I just couldn't take the fact he was doing that and had to walk away i didn't want to start anything or he'd be up in mine as well and having my child present at the time wasn't the smartest thing for me to ever do.. It sad that people who drink and go to public places think it's ok to do such things like this... Personally it's wrong, not funny and they do have some serious issues and she be getting professional help.. Thanks for your reply!

Hi wisconsin,
Wow..That is really very scary! I wonder why the girl didn't just walk away and leave the guy!
ANyway, I have witnessed a situation similar to that, a family in the restaurant..We were eating next to their table..The guy was shouting to his wife, at first they were whispering while arguing but they end up standing as if they own the place.
The wife was also shouting and saying to the husband F**k You and husband was also shouting to his wife cursing her, they got 3 kids who were just sitting down and continue eating! The guard approached them and advised them to leave since they are disturbing the other customers!
