API are Application Program Interface. These are routine library exposed by windows for other programming language like VB, C, delphi or java to do basic functions. Let say I want to print "Hello World", on a screen you type Print "Hello World" thats it. What the program actually do is convert your program instruction to call various window API to do the job like call the API to prepare the screen, call the API to locate the cursor, Call the API to prepare the memory to handle 'Hello World' then call the API again to print the word itself.

Hi aidenw,
I have no idea what API means sorry but I could keep an eye out in case someone talks about it in their discussions, I will keep you posted.
