If you're not too keen on carrying huge amount of data in your memory stick, use the smaller ones. Because if you use, like 8gb, it's pretty useless. Unless of course used in a digital camera with a long battery life, or as an expansion for a cellphone memory or multimedia players, or as a memory stick for a modded PSP. If you'll use it for documents and stuff, you should stick to the smaller ones. I use a 1gb mem stick only for documents, when I needed them for job applications and stuff.

I guess you're right!
I mean to have smaller ones for documents, is a bit better.. but it's chaning the sticks that bothers a bit!

When I have 128MB back then a friend of mine has 1G and I told him wow I could place I lot of data in there and he told me, yah if you loose it too or if it has an error you would loose a lot of data too. Depending of what you will save in it but I would prefer 2x4G.

this is exactly what makes me think of having the 2x4, because of fearing to loose it or spoil it somehow! so I always have the back up!

I'd use the 1 8gb one, because there is only one. 2x4 woudln't be as organized to me. When I can, I like to have as much data as possible in the same place.

it really depends on your usage requirements..
if it were me then i would have got a 2x4 gb rather than single 8 gb

i would prefer having the 8 gb memory stick. first reason will be the cost. 2 4gb of memory stick will cost you more than a single 8 gb stick. second, 8 gb nowadays are small, especially if you're going to use it for playing consoles such as psp or for video consoles like ipod. even dvd player has usb ports now. and most of the movies you can download today are in high definition. so 8 gb would be the choice. if you're going to use it as back up, then 2 4 gb will be better because you can be assured that just in case one of the stick failed you still have an extra copy. have a good day saierchok:). -NEIL
