I find it quite disturbing why when every single time this country elects a new president, people find ways to let the person step down. Oust him.. Oust her.. The Philippines will never go anywhere if everyone has this mentality.
I used to be a GMA fan, but now I'm not. For one, I really hate how corrupt she and her family is. But I think on some other aspects, she did some good to the country, I just can't think of anything right now haha!
But really, now people want person #1 to be president, others want person #2, still others want person #3. You will see that when one of these people get elected as president, there are millions still who want that person to step down. I guess in a way, this is why the government is failing every single time. It needs to know (and I believe they do know, I just don't know what they are thinking) that it will NEVER please everybody, and now it's trying to do just that. So instead of focusing on really important issues, it tends to focus on too many minute subjects, just to please a group of people, even if it really does not benefit the country as a whole. One fine example is cutting the text messaging fee to 0.50. I mean, I think the president has got a whole bunch more important stuffs to tackle than this one right?
The whole price slash story deserves a different discussion, so I'll end here..
Comments are appreciated...

This is why I liked the Marcos rule, (before he became a slave to the desires of his thing err I mean wife)one man, one rule. I may not know much about it having been just born at the end of his rule, but form what I have heard and read, he is an admirable man. Its sad that here in our beloved motherland we really can't agree upon any one thing fully. We always use the president or someone in the upper level as a scapegoat to blame our mistakes to but we fail to realize that within their mistakes we are also needed to be blamed. No matter how united each Filipino citizen is seen by other countries the direct opposite of it is what we do. The rich try to leave this country and the poor try to bring down the rich. In politics it became so rare that a politician wants to be elected to help the nation, rather they are forced to run at the elections so those who support them may gain some favors. I find it really sad that when it comes to elections and the like the next thing that comes into mind is that they cheated (if the won) or were cheated (if they lost) . If that is how things will go why have any elections at all? I doubt we will progress any further from where we are now if things continue it present path. I wish that one day everyone will realize this and stop all these madness, or else one day we will be waking up no longer Filipinos because we became so poor that some third rate smuck bought us off easy.

Thank you for your thoughts. And yes, I really do hope that people, especially those that are in the opposition, will try to support a newly installed one when the time comes. GMA has done too much damage already so I don't know if I still want to defend her, I used to but now I just shut up.
But again, there will always be an opposition team whoever our president may be. I just hope that they will grow up and shut up and just help out the leader. This way the country might actually have a chance to become a bit better.
