Maybe it depends on your bible... but every Bible i could dig up in my house, the New testiment begins with Mathew. Mathew covers the birth of Christ and what led upto the birth. Maybe you have a different version?

Hmmm... me thinks you practice a different sect of faith than what i was brought up with. May i ask your religion? i was raised Presbyterian, and Methodist. Not that i practice either actively today. i was always taught Mathew was the start of the New Testament. Maybe my instruction was using different criteria than yours? Christianity has so many different sects it rivals Hinduism in the differences practiced. Please take no offence, i'm not saying your wrong, your explanation makes sense. i simply wonder why i was taught differently.

Jesus is the only way the truth and the life..no one comes to the Father except through Him..God does not see religion he see's the persons heart, their true intentions..i'm non denominational because others take religion with all these rules and we are to depend on Jesus not religion...

we divide the word rightly..we live by it all not just the new..God says to divide it rightly..we still learn from the old testament..Jesus came to bring sinners to repentance..he was prophetsized about in the old..but we are to obey both, and devide them rightly..in the old testament it says I know the plans I have for you plans to prosper you and not to harm you..we are to obey and be obedient to all of God's word.
