Do you think that our country still have hope to be one of the best country in asia just like before. Like those times that we are being praised and saluted by our neighboring countries?
Does our government still have hope to change and to help us all to have a better lives?
Im asking this questions cause slowly Im getting loose of hopes due to what's happening in our country. Hope you guys can bring back my trust in this stupid government of ours.
Thanks to all who will share!

I believe that our country can fully recover from the problems it's facing if we only do our part as citizens. You see, we can change our situation if we start to follow simple things:
1. Obey traffic rules.
2. Do your job honestly.
3. Don't litter.
4. Respect our wildlife.
5. Don't waste food.
6. Be on time.
Another important thing is that we should not blame it all to our government. Remember, we are the ones who elected our officials so we have to practice our power to choose those who will really attend to our country's problems. For now, as we wait for the next elections, we just need to work hard on the things we have to do. We don't need to shout in the streets and express our sentiments. It's better to act by being responsible citizens. Be passionate for the country! We should not think of what it can do for us, we are the ones who should do something for it.

I think i heard this rules in one of the seminars my friend attended. He mentioned that to us and it reminded me again when I read this post again. Yes those are the main things that we lack in our society. The simple obeying of traffic rules are the ones we lack about and it shows how the lack of discipline in many of us are.

Nice picks. Those things are the most overlooked things in the Philippines. One should check his corruption first before engaging in any anti-corruption campaigns.

I am one of those who have always tasted our government as disgusting as ever. But still despite of their rudeness, transparent corruption, and open-lies, I never lost my hope. I still believe that someday, when the tide changes, everything will be turned upside down. The poor Pinoys will well up, not necessarily as rich as the Ayalas and Zobels, but at least, they will not grumble again against the new government. Don't be so blue, we still have hope.

I believe that the Filipino is just as good as any other person in the world. But we will never be able to get out of this mess we are in as long as we continue our culture of corruption, crab mentality, and indolence (indifference is an international trait so I don't think there is anything we can do about that)

I think there's still hope for our country. I say this because (1) the Filipinos are very hardworking and (2) we still have a lot of resources at our disposal. Of course, there is no hope with the current administration. i don't believe in GMA anymore, and I can't wait to see who the next president will be. i think we just need a really strong and patriotic leader to boost our economy.

god knows that we can survive on this. he will not put us in a situation that we can't solve. we just have to act as one. next time, we have to vote wisely.

That's why we vote. We should vote for people/candidates that we think are qualified for the position. This is one way of being heard. It's just sad that cheating during election has been a way of life for some candidates. I still think that there is still for us to be recognized by other countries maybe in other fields like sports and science and not just be recognized because of our corrupt Government.

It will always be the dream of every Filipino to have that privilege back. But, in the meantime I do not see it as we are in a great disarray to make things happen. As to when it will happen I really do not know but I hope I am still alive to witness that from happening.

i think the change for the better that we hope to take place for our country is still a dream. as long as the moral standard of our so called leaders remains on the level that they are into now, we will remain in this situation. it is not good to be hopeless for the cure of our county which is really in sick, but it is also wrong to conceive false hopes that we could have a land free from all this corruptions that we experience now. let's just hope for the better, but it takes someone as big as GOD to change this situation and turn poverty into an abundant life.

I believe that there's still hope for our country. If only those corrupt government officials and those who are in power will be out. They are the ones who is giving our country the negative remarks. That's why the poor gets poorer and the rich becomes poor. Let's just hope that in the next election, the Filipino people would be wise enough to vote for who really can uplift our country. Good luck to all Filipinos. HUGZ!

I am a Filipino. I am proud to be one. I have hope that we will be praised again. Maybe not with this current government. You must revive your Filipino attitude. Never say die. You need to be strong and hopeful. If not me then who...its also the same with you...if not you then who. All hope need to start in ourselves. If we were able to do it before of course we can do it again. With faith and great determination to achieve all our goals...we will revive the prosperity before. I am such a hopeful person. Do you know why? If I am able to uplift my family from poverty my family will be minus one from all the poor families in our country. If you lift your family from poverty that would be minus. Did you get me? My family and your family will be two family that will lifted from poor families. That is a great help if all young hopeful Filipino will do have hope like mine and yours. Then slowly we will regain whatever we have before.
The whole country is the biggest family we have. Let's all start from ourselves then our homes then our community then our work place ... sooner or later we will see that it is the whole country already. We are not perfect, we never stop hoping for the betterment of everything. Take care and i hope I was able to uplift your hopelessness. Take care and happy posting.

Hi, I do think that the country does have a chance to come back again. I do believe that the chance never goes away, it just goes unnoticed and ignored. I still believe that even though the country is like this anyway, it will come back soon. Just see how people in other countries praise the filipino workers there. If only we could be the same kind of workers here in our country. And if some people do not abuse their power and position, that hope is achievable.
