I have been drinking coffee since I was born I think. I absolutely love it! I drink it every morning until I'm awake enough to function. When I had my first son he was about 9 months old I guess and I gave him some in his sippy cup. Now I don't drink it plain I have to docter it up with milk and sugar. Every morning he gets up that's the first thing he asks for besides cartoons. He is almost 5 and still loves coffee. I think he would drink it all day If I kept a pot going. I was worried at first about the caffiene but it doens't seem to affect him for the worst. In fact it slows him down just a tad. Stimulants don't stimulate him rather than calm him down. Please share your kids coffee drinking habits.

I don't let my kids drink coffee. They are still into milk, chocolate drinks, and juices. I will only let them drink coffee on their adult stage.

my daughter is 15 and while she doesnt like coffee, she does like iced caps (which is cappeceno and available at a donut chain called tim hortons here in canada) she will buy these from time to time. they make her sorta hyper but she is old enough to have them.

Yeah I think I was drinking it since I was born too! I drink loads of coffee. I have four kids, 16,7,6 and 2. The eldest drinks coffee and has done since being about 9, and the others have an odd cup of it. I dont encourage them to have it but if they ask me then I will make them one. It does not affect them, they dont get hyper off it or anything and if they like it then why not!!

oh i really think it's not good for a child to eat too much coffee,
but maybe they can eat some tea ,it aim a effect to clean you stomachu, and in that way they will become more healthy,so i often drink tea but not coffee, though
coffee will make us more sober-minded.

I don't drink coffee and I wouldnt' want my kids to be drinking it either. Especially when they are that little. My 16 yr old wants to start drinking coffee so I really can't stop him, but I wouldn't give it to my 8 yr old.

I always give milk to my kids. It is very good for health for all. It is also better if it is cow's milk.

No i dont there is no need for a child to drink coffee what is wrong with water or juice or milk??? Getting them hooked on caffiene (which they will be even small doses at that age) is NOT a good thing and like I said no need for them to drink coffee they wont know what it is unless we give it to them so they dont miss out if we dont give it to them.

Both my children have drank coffee since they were very young. They get caffeine in choclate, tea and pop also. My son prefers tea and my daughter drinks very little today. My Son asks for coffee on ocassion. He is wighteen now and she is fifteen. Time flys by. Enjoy them when they are young.

My son is 10 and just the other night I asked him if he wanted any coffee. If he wanted it I'd let him have some, but knowing him he'd hate it. He's finicky and I can't imagine him liking the taste. I'm addicted to coffee now but I actually never started drinking it until I was 27!

I don't let my kids drink tea or coffee regularly....maybe a sip once in a while when their father has his tea or when I am having my coffee. I've always had only one cup of black cup of coffee in the morning. BUt I stopped that after I was married. My husband is a tea drinker and I couldn't be bothered to make tea AND coffee in the morning. And anyways, I didn't want the kids having either. So, I just stuck to making tea for my husband whenever he wanted it.
My older son would just ask for sips once in a while....which I let him have. He is 8 now and still doesn't like tea or coffee(which I now have with milk and sugar). But my 20 month old younger one seems to like both (even my very strong coffee)!

In my place people drink coffe with sugar and milk only. There are some people who drinks it along with lemon, but doctor's advice that since caffine content is present , we should avoid drinking coffee .it is mere stimulant and one day we will be addict to it , i guess it weakens us only when we dont consume it ( which means we are addict and feel we are weak without it ) im so thin when i was small so my mommy gave me COMPLAN,HORLICKS which are health drinks. Then they slowly gave me coffee and now i drink coffee but i perefer tea ( which is also not good for health )

I haven't yet but my mom used to give it to us with milk and sugar...it was my brother's favorite drink for years. She always gave us decaf though.
I don't think I'd give my son caffeinated coffee...it's not good for bone formation..but I would give him a little decaf with soy milk.

My mom gave my son coffee at 6 months old and he loved it. He 4 now and still loves it. I don't drink the stuff so he doens't drink it at home, and I really don't like him drinking it. When he is at my mom's house and she has a cup, he will drink it with her. I tell her not to, but mom knows everything and says a little bit won't hurt him.

We parents know what is bad for our kids but we can't find ways how to deal with it.Before i used to drink coffee often everytime i take my breakfast. My daughter now 5 sees me drinking coffee everyday, that she almost drunk coffee have of mine.We are starting to fight everytime i let her drink her milk and ignoring it,she now likes coffee much.We know it's bad for them that we can't see now the effects of it rightaway.Maybe it's us who could let them stop it or reduce it somehow. Now i'm not drinking coffee when we are together, instead i drink milk and now she's used to it.Try it and you'll find it effective.
