Hi just wondering is anybody out there using software other than Microsoft Office for the needs of your work?? I myself have wondering because ever since I graduated from University and start to work, I never used other software to take care of my work. Always using Office (word, excel, access, outlook, etc). Just wondering is anybody using other software? is there other software more powerful and more user friendly than Office???
Just like a few years back, everyone is using Microsoft Windows, but there are many other choice for system like Linux for example.
By the way, I'm using office for around 7 years now...

I am using openoffice because o am running my system on linux. Not only that i like to use linux than the operating systems. I feel it easy while using openoffice and the other reason is its an open source and so many people are working on it every day to make it easy. I also used MS office but the one edition that i like in them is MS office 2007.

yes,,
there is a software called openoffice,,which is very similarto MS office
i use this software for my work.
Advantages i think it has over MS office are:-
1)it is only 97mb in size where as MSoffice is about 450mb in size.
2)it is free.u need not to worry about its license or something.
and about the powerful or user friendliness,,i wud say both are same.
but yes as it is light in size,,u need not to worry about the bulkiness of MS office.
bye peace.

Microsoft Office is a great program form Microsoft. There are many alternative like Open Office , Star Office both are free. But Microsoft Office is the most versatile among them. But If you don't have any problem for budget, it is worth buying and using Microsoft Office.
