there are few kinds of music that i listen to without understanding the language. i like zydeco which is sung in cajun french; i have a tape of czech polka sung in czech ofcourse and some of the black metal bands i listen to sing in norweigian, icelandic, old norse, and finnish. i also used to listen to rammstein a long time ago, but i took a couple years of german so i kinda knew what they were singing about.

honestly, no..I like to tune in to the music where I can relate. If i am having a bad mood, i would sometimes play rock music so i can head bang and so release the tension building up inside me..Whatever music it may be, i like it that I understand the lyrics so i could follow and sing or dance to the tune...
Once, i have copies of songs that i don't understand the language, but i liked the music..But, a friend said that those songs when played backwards meant evil..So, i was kinda scared and didn't play it anymore...

I use Pandora.com to listen to music while online, and I have a whole lot of Latin music and Classical music stations on my profile. Both of these of course are in foreign languages to mine. I still enjoy listening, though. I also have a new found appreciation for Japanese metal, thanks to the recent explosion of anime here in the states. I love it!

I love music!
I do listen to songs even if I do not understand the lyrics. These are the songs that have good melody and beat. I have listened to good Indian songs because I do have some friends from India who are doing business here in the Philippines. I also love some Chinese songs even if I do not understand all the lyrics. I can understand and speak a little of Mandarin but that is not enough to understand some Chinese songs as some of them are in Fookien. I have been to Hong Kong, Singapore and China several times and I remember listening to Chinese songs early in the morning and late in the evening. I like the love songs they play late at night. My paternal grandmother loves Spanish songs and I grew up listening to some of these songs. They are really good.
