I learned how to cook from my mom, tv shows, reading recipes, and the old try it yourself things. I did a lot of learning just by getting in the kitchen and putting somethings together. Since I have been married and am exppectign a second child, I don't cook as much but I'm sure once I have the baby I will be back to cooking practically everyday.

It's actually more fun that way and I've learned for peopel that have children baking is a lot of fun and an easy way to teach children how to cook as well as give you that inspiration to be a little creative.

yup you're right. it is more better to learn it that way, and also learn how to be more creative. i love experiementing on foods, and cooking. i watch a lot of shows on the foodnetwork channel here in my hometown. and they have some very good cooks on that channel. i especially like wachael way. i get a lot of her recipes there, and right down it. and than turn it around for me.

I guess Ilearned from my mother, I've been cooking since I was really young.I love to cook all kinds of things, from curry to pizza, to baked dinner.
I think some men are very good cooks.

Since I was in grade three or four I start cooking, I learn it with my mother. Even now I was married I always cook for my family, sometimes I watch cooking show to have more ideas in cooking, my wife said he was lucky to have a husband like me, eventhough I teach her in cooking she said I'm still the best.

I learned to cook from my mom. I still make most of the recipes with the little twists that she added to them. i find them to be better than the generic way the dishes are prepared. She was smart enough to make me learn to cook ever since I was 13. I had a lot of interest in cooking and that made it easy to learn everything she taught me. Now some of the dishes she taught me are prepared better by me than her.
I like cooking things that my hubby like to eat the most. mostly non-vegetarian but also some vegetarian recipes that are easy to make but yet very very delicious. My husband is a great lover of chicken in any form. I like preparing Indian Chicken recipes for him. Also Pasta. he loves the way I cook pasta with white sauce.
As far as women being better cooks, I don't think it can be said with too much evidence. I believe there is no measure about who is a better cook. If women were better at cooking always none of the leading hotels would have had male chefs. the fact that most restaurants and hotels have male chefs does point out to the fact that men may be better cooks than women. But I don't think anything could be said with authority.

My mother tried to teach me how to cook, but not only did I not like to cook, I was never really good at it either. My sister is the real cook in that family (well my mother and my sister in two different generations LOL). My husband, on the other hand, loves to cook, and he's really good at it, therefore it can not be said that women are better cooks than men.

Generation to generation. My grandma was a Home Economics
teacher. My mom is a good cook. I've learned it from her.
When we were kids, we were trained and given tasks of what
to do in the kitchen. So, when we grew up, all of us
learned cooking. I love to cook chopsuey and pakbet. Mostly
vegies. It's my favorite. Well, i seldom find women cook
in big cuisine, hotels and expensive restaurants, mostly
are men. My son is a line cook in Bistro, an International
Restaurant in Manila. So, cooking is in the blood.
