Im oneof those people who are usually really against it... but my best friend last year happend to hook up with a guy who was deployed in Italy through facebook. She already had friends who had known him in high school so was certain he wasnt totally crazy... he comes back and they finally get to meet, and i swear he is the greatest thing to ever happen to her. Words can not describe how happy i am for both of them, he is one of the most amazing guys you could ever meet. Hes every womans dream, a faithful, honest companion, who only wants your happiness and to start a family. So it truly depends, because you can always get lucky ;)

My sister married someone she met on the web. They've been together for 4 years and married for 2 years. I wouldn't suggest it as the best way to meet someone to be romantically involved with, but for some people it works.

i guess its possible if you meet the guy in person after meeting him in the chat room. But if you are going to marry him after u have met him in the chat room only, then I think thats a bit tough and silly too(sorry if I've hurt anyone's sentiments).

Met my wife online....not in a chatroom though...talked to her for hours on end everyday for 5 months....after that she came to the netherlands to visit...stayed for 6 month instead of the planned 3 weeks...then we got married and i moved to Brasil... I think the way you meet someone is not important...if you connect who cares if you met at school, in a bar or in a chatroom?

yes why not. it depends on the understanding level. there are many people who have done this . and anything can happen we cant presume anything.

No I can not even think of that. If I don't know him/her personally then there is no chance for me to get married with that person as online world does not include faith everytime and there is no guarantee that person is not lying to you. I don't advice anybody to fall into that trap.

Its truly hard to do but not impossible. I met my girlfriend through webdate.com and we have been together for 3 years. We are planning on getting married someday.
