do you read your discussion before you post?

hello friends...just wanted to ask shouldn't there be something which we can edit the text after we have posted it...as most of us like me see the mistakes after we do the posting...and then we cannot edit it...there should be something that it can be edited only by the person who has created it...sometimes the meaning changes if you type it incorrectly...like for example if someone wants to write...i want to do it.....and if it becomes like...i want to diet...this is just an example ...many of us take care about it i know and many can understand what he/she meant and it was just misspelled...but still when i want to type something big i always tend to make mistake and i don't like it when i see it after i posted it already....what do you'll think about it?

Hello to you RAHIL_THKR! I often check my discussion before hitting on that post button. That's the same thing I do when I respond to discussions started by other members. I read my response first before posting. However, when I am rushing, I tend to check on what I have typed as I type them so I can immediately post it after. That would save me time and gives me more time to do more.

It is a good idea we need a edit tab so that we can edit the information once again and resubmit the discussion which we have started. I sometimes make spelling mistakes because I tend to type fast and dont feel like reading discussion once again but I will do it because the meaning might change.

It is always best to check and edit your posts before finally pressing the go button. It is the same with things you say to important people, to think first before saying anything. This would always prevent any misunderstanding in any conversation. Have a nice day!

This drives me nuts, as well. Even if I go back and read what I wrote before I submit there are often mistakes that I overlooked. I hate not being able to correct my posts. I'm not sure exactly why MyLot doesn't let you go back and edit. I wish they would, though. My fingers often get ahead of my brain and I put in the wrong word or spell something incorrectly. Drives me bonkers that I can't fix it.

Sometimes, I don't. When I'm really in a rush and needs to do something else, I tend to forget to read my post. Rest assured that I always check my spelling. Although I still have lapses sometimes, spelling is really important together with the thought of the context so as for it to be understood.

I will suggest you to post again. Normally minor mistakes like the spelling mistake should ok, as long as the reader understand what are you writing. I'm pretty sure they will understand what are you writing, else there will be not much reply from different people.

Hi! :) I sometimes read my posts before posting them to make sure I didn't make any grammatical errors or misspelled words. But I'm sometimes tired to check it, especially if it's long, and just post. I guess we have to carefully check our posts before reading because there's no edit function.

Before i posting, i usually read my sentence before i push the button. So it will avoid from make mistake in writting. To avoid the mistake, I check the post by sentence, its mean when I write one sentence, I check it. then I write the second sentence, then I check again until the last sentence. So, it will save your time.

You're right, sometimes when i post my discussion, lacks 1 letter like for instance i should meant it "known" but i typed it "know" However, the meaning when u read it, is really the first word i said. It's carelessness! We type too fast and we don't read what we're typing. So i think, we need to preview the discussion first before posting. That is why there is preview response and post response.

That would be nice, but some times I don't always read back over what I have types when starting a discussion or even making a comment. If the misspelled is not under a word I will keep going til I have finished typing. The just post. There has been times when I have posted and then realized that I made and error and couldn't go back to change it. That would be nice if they did have a second review before posting to decrease that problem.

Hi rahil_thkr. Frankly, some times I do, and some times I don't. When I get lazy and read it again just post it right away. That's why some times I did post a wrong spelling or grammar discussions. I got a blurred vision, and now I see to it to read my post many times, I learned my lessons. Thanks!

I usually just glance at it aquickly and correct any obvious errors. If it is readable I will send it. I dont like to spend alot of time editing my discussions because this is not English class. I like to be kind of spontaneous when i post. I do like to say what's on my mind.

Well I am terrible for not checking what I am writing properly but then I just post my response or discussion without checking it. But there is a preview that you can do before you post anything, and I am now in the habit of using this before I post anything just so that I can double check! It takes a bit longer but it is worth it so that I do not embarrass myself!!!!

most of the time no. haha because i always get too excited to post my discussion at once when i see myself finishing a discussion to be talked when i find what i said in my post with sense.. haha! there are times that i don't really take time looking to my mistakes because i really type fast.

Hi Rahil, I would usually preview to check for typos, and see if I make sense. Else, others who read my discussion may not understand or get the essence of my topic, and therefore won't bother to comment at all!
