Ice cream is one of the best things in life. It comes in multitudes of flavors and brands that anywhere I go I'm always game to have a scoop. But have you tried fried ice cream? It's dipped in a flour batter and deep fried like tempura (the Japanese dish). I had one just now drizzled with chocolate syrup with mangoes on the side. Oh so yummy!

I tried fried ice cream at the this Mexican chain restaurant called Chi-Chi's near where my parents lived when I was younger. I liked it a lot and wish I could find somewhere near me now to buy it.

I have only ever heard of fried ice cream since I joined myLot and did a discussion a few months back about deep fried mars bars. I have never tried fried ice cream, how on earth can ice cream be fried without it melting into nothing?
I am not a big lover of icecream so I am not sure if I would actually like it, but I would definately try it if I came across it. Just out of curiosity to see what it tasted like.

Waaahhh! Ive been craving for those for months now! I really dont have a craving since I havent even tasted one but Ive been wanting to have one for a long time now. Ive wanted to 'cook' my own but the process is a bit tedious for me. All the freezing and frying and repeat. Ive been curious as to how it tastes like. Id imagine that it just tastes like ice cream with cold egg on the outside(some use eggwhite coating instead of flour batter). At least thats how I saw it make them on tv. Oooh chocolate syrup, I love chocolate. Thanks for sharing this experience of yours. It did just make me want fried ice cream more but good thing we're going to Manila this sem break^_^

yes, I have heard of it but have never tried it. Its not easily available here and maybe some super speciality five star hotels offer this but they are way tooooooooooooo expensive for me(sigh)
