i was shocked and angry of what i heard this morning!

What a horrible thing for your friend to have to go through and for her daughter. It is so sad that men take advantage of these young ladies. She will never be able to say that her first experience was a good one and she may hate men for a long time. I hope that the police send this guy to prison for a long time. He is a creep and doesn't need to be out on the streets. I would make sure that he hasn't done anything to your daughter. She is very young and she may feel that it is her fault if he did. These guys prey on the young kids that they think won't tell.

OMG!! I am so sorry to hear about this. I will DEFINITELY be praying for them!! I too have 2 teenage daughters and cannot fathom the feeling or thought of anything like this EVER!! I would hurt that jerk badly.

Hi bangwin, That is very sad...I hope the girl will be able to recover from any trauma and wish the man will be sentenced or punished! Just do not trust anyone in your house, we really don't know what's running in the mind of any people this time!

hi bangwin what a horrible thing to happen to your neighbor's little 13 yr. old daughter, what an evil man, that is very scary. we just do not know sometimes who to trust. A man may look very kind and be very evil instead.that poor mom and poor little girl, I will pray for her and her daughter too that they can stand up to this a nd then try to put it out of their lives.Please stand by your friend too as she will need you.

What a horrible thing to happen. As one who was raped as an adult, I cannot imagine going through that as a child. The entire family will be affected by this, not just the poor child. They all need our prayers.

I'm glad that the incident was reported and the man caught. Encourage both mother and child to prosecute to the limit of the law. Don't let them back out, although both may need professional help.

i am not a mother yet... but i always feel very angry whenever i read news like this... it is so cruel and heartless to rape an underage girl like that... i will make sure that he rot in jail if i am the mother... there is no way i will spare him... i will definitely pray for them and hopefully justice will be done... my sympathy goes to them... take care and have a nice day...

I am sorry to hear that this happened. I hope he gets severely punished for what he did. I hate people that hurt children, he needs to suffer for this.

Oh my god that is so sad how could any one harm a child? I really feel for your friend and my thought are with them. I too have a 10 year old daughter and i couldn't even begin to think of the pain that they are all going through. They are in my prays.....

I am very relieved to have heard that the ***** (calm words fail me) has been arrested; I truly hope that your friend & her daughter get all the help and support they need right now, to get through this dark episode in their lives. Please try to release your fear, it will just continue to bring you into a frame of mind which won't help anyone. As a mum to a mum, be confident and sure in your abilities to protect your young daughter and your family and continue to love and support your friend & her daughter during this traumatic time.

Hello bangwin29, I am so very angry to hear that, the poor litte girl this man should locked up for good. Unfortunately there are so many evil men like that roaming around our neighbourhoods all over the world and there should be toughfer sentences fot=r them, I will pray for all of you for your strength. very very pathetic.What the girl must have experienced and felt is really verypathetic.I have a teenage girl too,but when I read such incidents just wonder how to bring up teenage girls in this world in the presence of such devils.

I always pray to God, not for one but for everyone to take care of them. These disgusting people should be given capital punishment according to me so that it will be lesson for others not dare to touch our angels......

that is horriale. i was raped before and i know it is hard. it is not something you ever forget. i have 2 girls ages 11 and 13 and well i am very over protective and i think alto of that has to do with my childhood. it happens so quick and usally by a friend of the family or a family member. that is the saddest part of it all. i have had the talk with my girls many times. just to let them understand that things can happen and if they do to come to me or there dad. to never be scared to say anything. my kids dont stay at friends houses until we know the family very well. if they have brothers then they dont stay there. kids stay at our house. i dont let my kids venture to far away in stores. i dont leave them alone with friends of ours to often. in fact there is only one friend that is a guy that we will leave them alone with. our friends are good people and i trust them but i never want to take that chance. i am not saying that all parents need to act like this and that anyone is wrong for not or that it is anyones fault when something like this happens. i am telling you this cause that is how it changed my life. because of what happened to me i am over protective. be there for them the best you can sometimes the only thing you can do is listen and hold them. dont worry if you are doing enough for them cause just being there is alot. as far as your daughter goes i know she is young but trust me have the talk that no one is to ever touch and if they ever do tell you. you dont have to be graphic or anything just explain it is there body and no one is allowed to touch that it is specail and etc.

What terrible news! I am so sorry to hear about this happening to this child. I hope that she will be okay and that she will find her inner strength and not let it ruin her life. This kind of thing is one of my biggest fears for MK and my two granddaughters. They are such friendly and trusting children and they are very active and are exposed to many, many people of all types. I try to teach them to be cautious and it just stinks that they have to think about such things when they are so little. The man was 40. Why didn't he just pick up a hooker or something and leave the child alone? If its all about control, then he will not have any control while he is in prison!

I'm really sorry about what happened. It's a terrible, life-changing event. She will never be the same again. People, like your neighbor, I keep in my heart. I can only hope that she will get better.

its not new anymore. evils are really all around us. what we can do to protect our children is not to let them go out alone. specially if they are only 4 above. i have a girl also not young anymore shes in her 20's. but i still feel worried about her if shes not in the house at night. specially when she is still working in an office. i thank God cause she found work homebased. atleast she dont have to go out and work. i always see her here in the house. one time when she got interviewed and its late. its 8 pm what i did i really come with her. i dont care what will the interviewer will say. as long as my daughter is safe im fine. besides the interviewer is a foreigner. i dont trust them. im just playing safe. its my kid that we are talking about. all mom's are really over protective.

It is very sad and the victim is scarred for life . Also, the fact that rape happens often these days is very disturbing. As far as that girl is concerned she will be very sad and depressed. Sometimes i don't know what this world has become. Just be there for your friend as much as she needs you to be. I would be terrified in your shoes also with daughters. Just watch out for her.. I know you will. I hope your friend and daughter will make it threw this okay. My prayers are with them.
