For breakfast, I usually eat oatmeal. I cook the oats for ninety seconds in the microwave. (Oatmeal is good for lowering cholesterol. Oatmeal is good for the heart.) I add a tablespoon of peanut butter and a tablespoon of jelly to improve the taste.

Hello! My oatmeal package states: "As part of a heart healthy diet, the soluble fiber in Oatmeal helps remove cholesterol!"
and
"Quaker Oatmeal is a great way to start your day and help your heart. A heart-healthy-size bowl of Quaker Oatmeal every day, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may actually help reduce heart disease risk. With so many tasty ways to serve it, Quaker Oatmeal is a purely delicious way to get your day off to a heart-healthy start."
I think the key to oatmeal being good for the heart is the "soluble fiber".
:)

Fruits. no matter what you choose, its super nutritious loaded with fiber, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. and because its so easy to digest, it doesn't weigh me down.
another best breakfast for me is burrito. i drain can of black beans, dump them in a frying pan, mash them with a fork and add about 1/2 cup of the best quality salsa i can find (Arriba's Roasted Garlic and Cilantro is my favorite)I sprinkle a little extra onion and/or garlic powder on the mixture, and heat it up, then i heat a corn tortilla (or two) in another dry hot frying pan for about 30 seconds on each side. i roll up some of the bean/salsa mixture into the tortilla, and toss on a bit of cilantro or avocado. i wash it down with fresh squeezed orange juice or grapefruit juice. i don't even think about food for at least fice hours.

Maybe it is time for you to have some change. There is one sentence effect me a lot"If you want to do something, you have a method, and if you don't want to do it, you get a excuse."So don't say you have no time, just eat something which can provide you enought nutrition.
Thank you for sharing.

Here are some great ideas for breakfast that's tasty and doesn't contain meat:
cereals such as grits, oatmeal, cream of wheat, and rice
If you want to butter the above but don't want anything associated with animals, use an olive oil spread
fresh fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, kiwis, and pineapple
If you aren't vegan and do use dairy products, yogurt's also a great choice. Also tomato slices (normal sized tomato) with cheese on top of them put under the broiler briefly are great.
Speaking of tomatoes, for a pop-in-your-mouth-and-enjoy experience, get those wonderful small-sized tomatoes such as cherry tomatoes and grape tomatoes. They're very satisfying in taste, texture, and how they pop in your mouth when you first bite into them.

I often eat oatmeal which I think is a pretty nutritious breakfast. Other times, I just eat cold cereal, like Cheerios, with skim milk. This morning was kind of unusual--I fixed pancakes which I probably do less than once a month. I firmly believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Plus, I want to kick my metabolism going first thing in the morning.
Take care, rytnlxm.

Hi Rytnlxm, I usually will have a bowl of cereal and a glass of orange juice for breakfast, if I am running low on milk at home though in the morning I will have toast and a cup of tea instead throughout the week and then on a Sunday I will have a full English breakfast, consisting of sausages, eggs, bacon, toast, mushrooms, plum tomatoes, beans and saute potatoes. Ellie :D

I had two pancakes with 1 tbs of syrup, three slices of bacon and 1 cup of grapefruit juice. I splurged on my calorie intake for breakfast today cause I know lunch will be light. I have been falling below the calories I am supposed to take in a day so I need to try to take in some more healthier calories. Two days this week I didn't make my calorie count which is important for losing weight.

i had quite a boring breakfast today. but it was yummy. two slices of white gardenia bread toasted in my little toaster. and then i spread non-fat olive butter over it, and dusted the top with fine sugar.
I also had a glass of milk, for calcium intake, very important for strong bones in women. And lastly I had some vitamins.
Sometimes I supplement my breakfast after i get to work with more food.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because after sleeping for several
hours without any food intake which is in a way an act of fasting, we are now ready to break the fast as our body is ready to take food. That is why we call this morning meal as Breakfast. You are right we should really eat nutritious food for breakfast. We need not eat food high in calories and fats but provide no nutrients and another important thing .. skipping breakfast like most people are doing is not good. In fact even among kids, it is found out that those who eat breakfast are more likely to do better in school, they are active and participate very well in physical activities. So if children themselves are affected then we adults are likewise affected so we should eat our breakfast and always choose the most nutritious food
During weekdays when we have to rush for our work. I normally prepare the quick menu like Rolled oatmeal with milk and lots of fruits; sometimes wholewheat toasts with with veggie omelet and fresh milk and fruits, or when really in a hurry and have no time to cook, we eat fresh garden salad and fresh fruits and fresh fruit juices, sometimes when I am really in a hurry we just eat whole grain cereal and fruits. During weekends when I have the luxury of time, I would prepare special friend rice, friend egg, fried fish fillet, ceasar's salad and fruits.

In the morning time is limited and I will have simple snacks with warm water. I have them quickly. Usually have haft a steam bread, a steam bun with stuffing or a cake. I don't want to have too much to get sleepy so I just have a little.
