This is a general comment passed by our relatives from our birth..They try to find out whom the child resembles. I have been told by many of my friends and relatives that I resemble my father in physical features and my mother by character. My son seems to resemble like his father only. You too might have been commented by some in this regard .Whom have been told that you resemble in features and character - your father or your mother? Do you feel the same way?

I resemble my mother as far as my physical looks are concerned. I have the same face but am bigger than her in size. but everyone who sees me for the first time cannot miss the striking similarity between me and my mom. But as far as my personalty is concerned I don't think it resembles any of my parents. I am very different and I think a lot has to do with the way my brothers treated me. I was rarely treated as a girl among the two brothers I had. one elder and one younger.
I have a 3 month old baby now. When it was born everyone said it looks like his dad. The hands and legs were exactly like his dad even the fingers and finger nails. But the face was a mixture of features from different person. Nose like my brother, eyes like his father and cheeks like me. But as he is growing he is changing so rapidly that no one can guess who he would look like when he is a young man.

Good that you have your own individuality when it comes to personality..Yes, babies look different on every day. Some days they will be like their mom and on some days resemble the features of their dad. Only after an year or two, you can decide about it..

I've had people tell me that my facial features resemble my father. I think it quite true after having seen many of his snaps of him in his younger days. That's all the resemble there is, none of the other physical charaterestics seem to be the same.

When I was young I was always wrong for an adopted child but I don't really mind since I don't really looked like them but when I grew older in my late teens I started to look like my mom especially in physique and mix of my pop and mom on face.

My friends and I get to argue with that.. I always told them that I look more my dad, but they keep on insisting that I look like my mom..
well, I always look at our photo album, and there's this picture where, our face where actually so near, that you'll see our face resemblance, and that made me realize that I really look my mom, with our smile and with the shape of our face.. I can see myself when I get old.LOL. the difference were our hair. her hair was short, it's a boy cut, and a little curly, and mine was long and straight.

Im afraid to say that I look like my father :( and inherited his horrible big nose but it wasn't anything plastic surgery couldn't fix :) and I don't look anything like my mother yet it is funny every one says that my younger sister by only 14 mths and myself are like twins we look that much alike but she was lucky she didn't get the nose! but every one says that I look like my dad and my sister looks like my mother so I don't understand how they could think that we look so much alike but look like the other parent????? confusing believe me!

hello smilyn :-) in our family, our looks is a mix of our mother and father features. So it’s half my mother and half my father. The good thing is that my mother and father’s features when combined is pretty okay so we generally looks good…doesn’t mean to sound arrogant though. Anyway I read once that scientifically, children mostly resembles their father because 60% of physical appearance comes from the father while only 40% of appearance comes from the moms. In contrast 60% of intelligence comes from the mother and only 40% of it comes from dads. so the mothers must be smart and the dads handsome to produce great babies.

I have to say I resemble my mom to the ( T ) lokks wise and character wise.
Alot of people say today to me "only if your mom was alive today you two standing side by side you would looks like twins" I just have to laugh for ya know their right. I can also say that my son looks just like me and I like it for it's like a family pattern going on here.

Spitting image of my mother when she was my age and as much as i'd like to say i'm not like my mother...I am, I find myself telling my kids the same things she told me when I was small. My dad don't mess around, he's a grouch of sorts and to the point, quiet, he means business when he speaks and I have that in me also.

Well, i have been told different things, ending up that i resemble physically and by character both of them.
The truth is that there are very few things i recognize myself as resemblance to them, and these few feel more like a coincidence like you can resemble to any other person you meet on the street.

well, i think i got my father's skin color, since my dad is fairer compared to my mom and my mom's eyes, big and round, and brownish black in color and i some kind of have her nose too..hahaha but i don't look or resemble like my mom or dad. am a mix of both of them. i don't look like my mom at all, nor do i look like my dad. but they said i look more like of my father's side. well I'm not so sure about that, but maybe..doesn't really matter that much to me, am sure am their daughter anyway!hahaha

funny enough I look most like my aunt. I have attributes of both my father and mother but more or less I look like my aunt I'm almost the spitting image of her. LOL!!!

I'm a combination of both.
I have my father's head shape and my mother's nose and cheeks and my father's chin and eyes and my mother's ears and so on and so forth.
My brother is almost exactly my father and my sister is almost exactly my mother.
The wonders of nature don't cease.

I resemble my Mam in terms of facial shape and she had the same figure as me give or take a little bit when she was younger as I have now. We also have the same natural hair colour, although we both dye our hair now.
I also share the personality of both my parents, I have a little bit of perfectionism from my Mam and I have my confidence and competitive nature from my Dad.

I have been told both. My mom swears I look so much like my dad. But I hear it equally that I look like both. I agree with both. I have my dads nose, my moms hair and a combination of both their eyes.

Well, I resemble my physical features from my
mother and charater from my father. My daughter
looks like his father but her character resembles
mine. Whereas, my son got my features and charater.
But as my daghter grows older, some would say
we look alike............hahahahaha! Sounds good!
They got all mine. This means my blood is stronger
than his? What do you think?
