Who I Want To Be, When I Grow Up!

In school, every student might have the assingment,to write about what they want to be when they grow up. As for me it was a doctor, brain surgen, skydiver, and a race car driver, ect.,because I had several dreams, even to be a rock star. But now at the age of 39 years old, I reolized, it's not what I want to be, but whom I want to be like. A lot of people want to be like rich and famous people, but the person I want to be like is better than any famous or rich person. I want to be like Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ lived on this Earth, but never commited a single sin. Jesus never cursed, lusted, lied, killed, worshiped false gods, stold, smoked, drank, and
never did drugs. Jesue Christ was tempted by the Devil, and never gave into the temptations. And Jesus always looked up to His Father,God. Jesus was perfect and without a sin. But even though I am not a perfect person, and it's very possible for me to mess up, I want to be as much like Jesus as it is in my power to be. I know that if I look up to God, have faith, and do as best as I can, reconize my sins
, and turn away from my sins, I know that I'm doing my best. The one thing I want everyone to know, is that God loves us so much that He sent His son down to Earth, and His son laied down His life for us, that if we believe in Jesue, confess that He
is Lord and Savior, we will be saved, and we will go to Heaven.(John 3:16).

I always had a different idea of who I wanted to be. I still have a hard time picturing what I to do for a job, but my job doesn't make who I am. I realize this. I know I am not a perfect person like you said, but I am a child of God. I keep to my faith through the hardships. I know my greatest desire is to help people. And one of the best ways to help others would be to be a better witness of God to them. Live my life better and be a better Christian.

i want to be as much like jesus as i can ! even though jesus is the son of god he could have sinned but he did not to because of his love for us.on the mountain when he was tempted by satan he could have giving in because he had a free choice just like we do.

Well in answer to the question of your topic.
I wanted to be a secretary, wife, mom. I ended up
being all of those, but actually in my mind even at
my age, I never want to grow up.
I would like to have a young mind and soul for as long
as I live!
I just want to enjoy life, laugh, love and enjoy life
to the fullest.
Life is too short not to enjoy it!

becoming a millionaire or billionaire , likes of bill gates , pele , bradman may be the aim of mane peoples.but at the end you will be happy only if you are satisfied. so in my opinion follow your heart and ask your mind and you will end up where you want to be.

I sort of think the point to Jesus becoming human, but also still being divine, is why He could resist temptation and why we cannot. God created us so that we would be imperfect... so then we would recognize that we cannot work our way into deserving salvation. It's a wonderful thing, because then we are all placed on the same plane. Pastors, murderers, mother Theresa, adulterers, everybody! It's frustrating, but wonderful because we are all dependent upon His grace.
Also, if you want to be like Jesus... would you be willing to suffer a crucifixion?
