How Did You Get Your First Computer? and when?

Hi my friend, I got my first computer after I got my disability award. They owed me for almost a year back pay and it sure came in handy. That was about 11 years ago and my son was about 15 then and we shared the computer. It was not fun back then. We took turns. Then my fiance moved in and then there was 3 of us which was even worse!! Now, I have my own, hubby has his own, and when my son moved out last month he has his own laptop. It makes a much happier household when you don't have to share the computer. I bought my first Commodore 64 in 1983 at Consumers Distributing. Went on to later purchase the printer, modem, monitor, cassette deck, and later, a portable 64. All which I still have and I still use the monitor!

I got my first computer because I really wanted a computer and my aunt bought it for me as a birthday gift. It was a long time ago.

Hmm..let me think,well I got my first computer when I was just 15years old and that is long long time back and now am 28th.It was on my birthday,my dad gifted me.It was simple desktop Pc windows98 but I was happy,very happy.

I bought my first computer 2 years ago, it was PIV computer and allowed to get boosted in the internet. It was bought through the help of my 13th month.

i got my first computer somewhere around '97. A good ol' Pentium II, 32Mb of ram, 2Gb hard drive, and Windows 95. It was wonderful especially since it was given to me. i owe all my knowledge pertaining to computer repair to that lil' computer. Since it crashed on a daily basis and the fact that eventually i had to upgrade everything about it. It left an indelible mark on me. And a hatred for all things Microsoft.

I got my laptop September last year. My husband bought it for me so we can see each other everyday. He is working in Canada right now. HUGZ!

I got my first computer in 2003 when i was in 10th standard,it was my first computer so i was really excited about,though i don't much about it that time actually i didn't know how to turn off my computer.But as i operated it i get to know about it more and more.Now i have a new laptop but my older computer is still working and my younger brothers are using it.

I got my first computer from my aunt in 2004 approximately.it's a lianxiang brand computer(china brand).the date of made is 1999.haha .There is no question about it is so old that it run slow and my friends alway say to me I should change a new one as soon as possible .but I have not much money and I just have done something with it and changed many computer fitting for it .I can play many games now .so I am satisfied with it.

In my first year of school, We got my grandfathers old pc with windows 95. It was ok for the time.

Well my dad has been a computer manager since i can remember, from when i was very young anyway (i'm 25 now) so we have always had computers in the house. remember we had a 186, then 286, 386, 486 then it went on to pentiums and beyond, but i remember playing really basic games like frogga on that 186 pc. Computers didn't have Windows then of course but MS-DOS mode only so i first learnt to use a computer watching my brother type in DOS to access programs. For a long time we just had two comptuers, one my dad would use and one for me and my brother to share, i would have been a teen before i had my own computer rather than having to share.

So you are very happy now ! Good for you. I got my computer about two years ago. I didn't know what kind I should buy then. Just took the advice from the shop. I am happy with it. Actually, it is a gift from my sister who works in Singapore. She knows that i love computer but just don't have the money to buy one, so she give me a gift. And I love it.
