we all feel the same way when we are newbies and not just in an online forums or discussion boards, somehow in real life too. some want to acclimatize first and know that and this persons way before engaging more conversation and later on exchange life stories. i think that would be build up in due time when both parties are settled on things that they have shared or perhaps something that they have in common. engaging other discussions from members can get there attention and somehow develop friendship in the long run. i'm watching ya'.. hahaha!!

During my first hundred posts I made a few friends too, that is the reason, I make a goal each day, that I have to add twenty mylotters as my friends, I usually choose from those who actively participated in the threads and responded to my discussion. I also realized that friends really helps a lot, one way is that whenever you make good discussions the ones who are on your friends lisr are the first ones who replied to your post and even if you are not online, still there are those who I really thank that they make an effort of responding to my post, and in same manner, I tried as much as I can to respond to my friends posts especially if I can relate to the posts, lol, really friends are big deal here hence, friends really matters in this community. and hey, we could be friends too Cheers !

I think friendships just develop and you may find discussions where the same people pop up and you will become friends with them (kind of like me and you have. If there is anyone who says somehting that made you laugh or you especially agree with then add them as a friend and people will do the same. Those people who have developed strong relationships on here may have lot more posts than you and have spoke to their friends more. Try joining in a range of discussions but maybe concentrate on the things you are interested in. But yeah maybe people dont like you. Only kidding lol xx

Hi munchkin, we are already "friends" as far as the myLot system goes, but we've never chatted, and thats the thing about this site, chatting doesnt really exist. However, I hadnt realised you from Preston UK. My dad was born there, Ive never visited, but can you tell me is there is a Charnley Street, or any businesses related to the the name Charnley still existing, apparently there used to be loads. Would be really interested to know. Thanks.

lol, i have been on here a little while, haven't really met any "friends" but there are certain people with whom i have had more interesting conversations with, i think it is a little difficult to really make friends just by posting on discussions, but you never know, i have been known to be wrong before,
