Is anyone else addicted to "house hunters"?

Jillhill I absolutely love House Hunters also! I was watching it last night also. I sit there and start to dream of how I would want my first home to be. As a matter of fact, I love most of the shows on the HGTV channel because they are all based on updating the home. I can watch that channel allday. Take care jillhill and God Bless!

Hi Jill, I haven't heard of the programme at all, I don't have Sky or anything but very rarely watch TV anyway. In fact at the moment the only programme I have been watching is one called Bonekickers which is about an archeologist and how she brings the past alive in her exacavations. Glad you enjoy this one though. Ellie :D

Oh yeah, I love that show. I like the international House Hunters too. I like when they tell you the price...I can't believe what they pay for some of these places. I like to guess which one they'll pick. My favorite is the end when they show what they've done with the place after they've moved in. Some are amazing transformations and some are hilarious...like the place needed a lot of work but they didn't change a thing and their crazy furniture makes it even worse. :-p

LOL, I used to watch it all the time when I lived with my parents. One day they told me they couldn't take it anymore, and would I please take a break from watching it? So the only day they let me watch it when they were in the same room with them, was on my birthday! I guess I wore them out on it. By the way, I didn't watch much of Design Star this season, about three episodes, but did you like it that Jennifer won?

I like that show and have seen it several times. I think I'm more interested in the shows dealing with selling your house. Actually I hope to be doing both over the next year or so. We'll see what happens with the market. That's the big question mark. There are so nmany houses around here to sell already.

I looove that show! I actually love just about anything on HGTV. I could watch all the home decorating,home searching shows all day long!

LOVE that show. I even watch and rewatch it. I have to start putting limits on myself, if I'm seeing one for the third or fourth time I really must start changing the channel.

I like house hunters and the weather channel. I like the it could happen tomorrow on the weather channel. The show really makes the disasters look like they can happen. Never thought about a tornado hitting Chicago until I watched that show.

Hello jillhill. I, too, like to watch the show, "House Hunters." I like the HGTV channel in general and try to tune in to "Flip that House" also. Actually, I love seeing all the interiors of different homes in different cities. I don't watch it every night, though as we watch quite a variety of shows from day to day. Plus, my husband is a Cubs fan, so we watch those games when we can. (I'm usually surfing the net at that time.) They seem to last about 5 hours, but he says they are usually only 2 1/2 hours long...

I love House Hunters too -- both the US one and the international one. I really enjoy trying to figure out which residence they will choose. However, I also really like seeing the different types of housing that are available or common in various parts of the US as well as around the world. For example, I have not been to New Mexico or the American Southwest so I was interested to see that the houses and condos there actually do use that "southwest" style of design. I was also surprised to see how high the prices are for real estate in other parts of the world. For example, there was a couple on a show recently who wanted to retire someplace in Central America and the cost was about $350,000 for their house. I thought, gee, that is about what it would have cost them in the US. I think that I had always thought that it would be less expensive to buy property in other countries -- or at least some of them. However, so far they seem comparable -- though that may be as a result of the value of the dollar. In addition, I was surprised how many of the styles are the same all over -- such as granite countertops. It is funny to hear the realtor explain the granite countertops in the US, in Central America, and in Europe. I always try to get a feel for what it might be like to live in the destination they are showing.

No i do not watch this show. I am too addicted to mylot to watch any other show.......Have a nice day.

Well we don't have cable so i don't know if I would like it or not.
