Are you a slave of technology?

In todays generation everything is automatic and machine operated. These machines make our life convenient/comfortable and help us do more and enhance our multi-tasking ability. An example is that while at home, you can wash clothes while looking after the children and at the same time watching TV with them. You can listen to music with your MP3 while photocopying. Mentioned above are just some of the things that you can do all together. I don't want to spoil your other multi-tasking stories. Anyway, my point is, what if these things will not work, can you still finish your work and how resourceful are you? Or you are a slave of such technologies that you'll wait for the technician to repair it then thats the time you'll get your work done. Our grandparents and our parents used to live a manual and more simple life than us, do you think we can do that?

Well as the days goes by...I guess past from present to future is definetly different..I guess for me,Technology is really important because it seems all the things around the world is a competition..I mean if you stay from the past like manual things then you will be probably too late to all of the things happening around you,I mean,Manual is still important let set an example just like the Wall.E pixar movie,The people in the movie don't know how to use manual already which is really difficult because they are depending to the technology,I mean everything should be equal because if it is not,I don't know what will happen...Both manual and automatic or technology are important...:-0 God bless and have a nice day...:-0

I wash clothes while my daughter is watching tv... i wouldn't be able to do the washing if the tv is not on... she can only sleep in the afternoon when the music is on... and my main form of communicating with my husband and other relative living abroad is through the internet... and my whole days is spent infront of the computer... so if the internet is down... i feel very useless... so i can say that right now... i am a slave of technology... but who isn't nowadays?...

some tasks remain to be done manually but of course, new technologies help us a lot to do our tasks fast and conveniently. with computers, if something happens with the system, we can go back to the traditional typewriter and calculators. in our office, we rely mostly in computers. but typewriters are still there to support other tasks that doesn't need the machine. and if something bad happens to the machine, it's not so difficult to use the antiques. I hate to say that I am a slave of technology. I think my life would be happier if I didn't have to deal with my cell phone all the time. I like the idea of people not being able to find me, but cell phones make that impossible. But I love my laptop, and really could not live without it. I am going to join the Peace Corps in a couple of years, and i'm excited to live a life more simplistic. Technology is a great thing.. but sometimes it seems we go too far.
