Is is the best browser for the OS X platform. I tried it on the windows platform, but it was a very resourceful hogging application and was also slow, when compared to iuts performance in a Mac. I live the various options that one gets to use along with it, but compared ot Firefox on windows, it's not so great. bourne

Tried it as well but I feel its the same as firefox. The settings they used are also taken from the IE settings and there are less settings that you can make. Maybe that is why they are the fastest because there are less that you can add on the browsers. But if you like roboform and many other add-ons safari is not good on them as they are a closed browser. Maybe is you just are an ordinary surfer safari is recommended.

Safari is my alternative browser along with IE and Opera, my favorite is firefox. When speaking of speed I think all of them are fast specially the newer version but with my firefox I could do more - create repetitive commands and assign it to one button, add monitors that would normally need an external applications. I cannot customize my copy of safari so its good only as my alternative one.

It's no Firefox. Fortunately, Firefox is, so I've kept using that instead.
