ilovemit Gentoo is a little bit difficult to install and configure but it is very fast.Debian is famous because it is consider the stablest os.

ilovemit I don't have a mac so I don't have any mac experience.But I guess mac is better than windows operating systems.Mac is a unix like system.It is stable and fast and of course easy to use.Windows is not safe and slow.

ilovemit I think a virtual machine like virtualbox is a better choice.You can install a windows system using virtualbox and it is easy to use.Wine is difficult to use,you may encounter many problems.

ilovemit It is impossible to switch between different operating systems without reboot.If you use a virtual machine like virtualbox to run an os ,you don't need to reboot the host,but you still have to reboot the guest os.

ilovemit I haven't use windows vista too much.Now I am using windows 7 now.It is nice and easy to use.Xp is still faster than windows 7,but it is really too old.So I like the new windows 7.
