Based on what I have read about Java and .NET ... .NET is just like Java or a Java also that is based for MS Windows. And Java is a universal computer language for developing applications that can apply on different kind of platforms, environment and technologies. So on my opinion to know better .NET is to know first Java.

I just mentioned above...people say Java has supremacy over .NET cos of its security feature which i believe is not a valid argument to suggest that Java is ahead of .NET since now-a-days the security issues are being taken care of by the network configurations itself and moreover developing a IDE is difficult in JAVA as compared to .NET Well this is what i think...thanks for sharing and suggesting!!

i dont think u must go for immediate certification if you are confused. i mean just give more time to know your interests. because you have to follow one path if you have chosen. both of the languages are good and you cant say one is not good

Yea...some of my elders and friends(seniors)...suggest that myself being in a computer field there is no need of any kind of certification....the degree itself is enough to speak about the laurels in the programming language platforms.... Some other confuse me over the Java v/s .NET scene.... Some hold the opinion that Java has an upper hand over .NET because of its security feature.... Well anyways thanks for your advice!!
