I see some of my friends post statuses from Twitter and connects it in Facebook. I tried using Twitter but I really don't like it. Probably I'm just stupid enough to comprehend its use. I tried to follow few people who are my favorites but I got tired reading their post. I just use it I guess twice or thrice since I opened my account but I don't want to open it again. I find some of my friends are really fond of this. I'm not a fan of Twitter. Is it just me who don't like it? Kindly share your thoughts on this. I might be missing something important in Twitter.

You write a load of nonsense that nobody except you will ever read. What's stupid about that?

Even if my friends read it, they basically don't care that much about almost everything I do haha. Unless I have a secret admirer or stalker who will follow my tweet. I just don't get it why people are so into it.

Hi chiwasaki! I've never tried Twitter and I don't plan to, ever. I also have friends with Twitter accounts who post status in their Twitter accounts and then post it to Facebook. I don't know why they need to keep two social networking sites. Maybe they have friends in either of the two sites which do not have account on both, like me. Anyway, I also don't know what's interesting with Twitter. It's just like Facebook. I can't understand why there are so many celebrities hooked on Twitter. And I don't feel interested to know and discover.

I guess this is one reason why I'm not a fan of Twitter. I'm not very much into following the lives of those celebrities who are addicted to Twitter. I think even some celebrities do not realize the dangers of sharing everything about them. I have heard news about them getting into troubles because of what they have tweeted there.

This, I believe is the only true use of Twitter. I don't think many "followers" know this.

I think some celebrities use it to get in touch with their fans. Some die hard fans wants to know almost everything about the favorite celebrities. But Twitter is like sharing almost every little thing about what you do which is not really that safe at all.

I think I can relate to what you are saying. I joined twitter recently and I am still not getting what all the fuss is about. I am following a lot people and there are quite a few people following and I have also posted tweet, I have retweeted and also replied to tweets. But I still don't get very much fun from it. I may be missing something from it too.

Facebook is probably better than twitter because it has more features and activities.

Twitter is not for me I guess. I don't see any fun on posting and reading other people's tweets as well. Facebook is much better than Twitter.

Same here! I also couldn't understand why would anybody 'tweet' everything they did. And morever, I couldn't understand why would anybody follow them. Even if they were actors or athletes, we would like to know news about them, but not what they ate for breakfast, or what they are thinking, etc. Maybe I'm too old too to appreciate it.

I have a favorite celebrity whom I really admire. But I don't care about their everyday life as well. It is not really interesting for me to read those information about other people.

if you just don't like it then it's no problem, don't try to force it on yourself. but when I first used twitter I was so against it and just didn't want to try it. once I tried it for a few weeks I started to love it and I don't even like Facebook now, but I love twitter. I would say to you if your friends and everyone your in contact with uses twitter, then try it out every now and now and I really think it will grow on you. When your new to something you tend to not be open to it and not like it. Just keep trying it out but don't force it on yourself and try to make yourself use it all the time and like it. Gradually use it.

I actually forced myself to check it about two or three times. However I got tired checking it and reading other people's tweets. Now probably this networking is really not for me.

I like twitter, I mean I am ok with it but I am more comfortable with facebook. The thing about twitter is that most of the celebrities are there more than on facebook and they tweet out often and it feels like we are connected with our favourite celebrities, and to be honest that is one of the few reasons why I am on twitter. I wish celebrities used facebook more but maybe it has been a history for them now!

That's primarily one of the uses of Twitter. For famous people to reach out to their fans. And for fans to get connected with these celebrities. But I don't see the use of Twitter to those ordinary people who are not following anyone in particular.

I think ordinary people can enjoy twitter without following some celebrity too. They can always connect with their friends. It's very much like facebook.

Hi chiwasaki, I'm member of both facebook and twitter. Yet I don't log in there frequently like most of friends do regularly. I find certain games available in fb are best remedy for me to get refreshed after I'm bored with my schedule. This doesn't happen often to me I follow a few nice congressmen of my place to read some of their posts which are really worthwhile to read Happy posting

That's actually cool. Instead of following celebrities, we can follow politicians. It is better to know them than better knowing celebrities.

I'm actually not that into Facebook. I tried, but don't really care about it. I use Twitter, but I hardly post anything. I just follow other people. It's entertaining depending on who you follow.

Hi Chiwasaki, I am not a fan. I also can not understand why any one other than celebrities would find twitter useful. I opened an account when Twitter first started and it was all the rage,, but, I soon learned that it was only good if you were famous and could draw enough followers to make posting useful. Originally, I thought all the people I was following were also viewing my tweets and I could just follow lots of people and have a large network to advertize to or at least give my outbursts of 40 character nonsense an audience. NOT!

Yes if they don't follow you, they won't see your post. I just don't know why other people tweet everything they do when no one even cares to read it. Even though they do have some followers, not everyone will be enticed to read those tweets.

On the contrary I am a huge fan of twitter. I like to read tweets from these people that I'm interested in. And I like to share my thoughts with them too. You can access twitter not only from its website but also many other clients especially from you cellphone.

i dont have a twitter account and i think that i never will create one. i am interested in the lives of some famous people but not to the point of knowing every minute about what their updates are. i like to read the twitter posts that some websites display once in a while just for a quick and brief update on what is happening but not always.

hi katrina! I definitely agree with you. I'm quite interested with celebrities life. I like to know more about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's relationship. But I guess not to the point of knowing every update on their lives everyday.

I, also, am not a big fan of twitter but I maintain a twitter account. I do not quite get twitter. But once in a while I have tweeted something and have also searched something. So I keep it around. If it went away, I would not miss it.

I am not a fan and not fond of twitter. Besides, I have no account on said site. I don't know why, but I just don't find it thrilling for me. I mean, I have seen tweets of fighting girls. They use twitter as their way to exchange words against each other. What's the use? It's a childish thing. There are also tweets that are wrong information. I mean, not reliable enough to believe.

I also don't find it thrilling as well. We are on the same boat, I thought I'm the only one who don't like it. Honestly I'm quite irritated when I see Facebook status coming from Tweeter. Haha I really don't know why .

I have a Twitter account but I haven't found it interesting for me. First, since Twitter is blocked in my country. So most people have to climb over the Great Fire Wall so that we can access to Twitter. This is why there will be less people in Twitter. Second, I found it is too difficult for me to write what I want in English in so less words. Since Twitter has a limitation for the words. This is why I don't have many friends in Twitter and this is why I am not active there. I love China

I don't find it interesting either. Even though I have full access here in Twitter, I don't find it thrilling to post status that basically no one even cares haha. I'm just wondering though why a lot of my friends are hooked in this Twitter thing.

Nice to read that some are not fans! I think Twitter is the dumbest, most useless, trouble causing thing invented! I mean come on...do you really want to tell everyone your every move? Your every feeling? You only get like 127 characters to "speak" anyway...how much can you say in that short a time that is of any importance or need? Celebs use it and tell their every move and then gripe and complain when fans "stalk" them. and EVERYONE gets the twitter..so you can't (to my knowledge) just pick and choose who you want to see the post so you can only (or should only) say generic things that everyone can hear or some get mad at what you said...good grief, just not worth bothering with for so little info for a possible large price. And the same with Facebook I think, yes you can say a little more, and yes you can pick and choose who sees the posts...sometimes. But still...everyone has 100's and 100's of "Friends" and each post goes to all of them to see....you can't possibly know that many people first hand anyway..and look at all the potential problems PLUS......look at all your info that is now out in cyber space for all to see!!!! I even hate texting...just yesterday it cause a family problem cause my son texted his dad happy birthday and that he couldn't get over today cause he was in class...dad was so busy texting others at that same time and all day long, that he read it, for got he read it and then complained that son didn't even bother telling him happy birthday. I texted my son, got his side, told my husband and he said, yeah, he just texted him that but says he doesn't remember reading it. Son sent me a copy with date and time of the text that he sent that morning. So it was sent, Dad just was so into texting others and alll that he forgot he even read it. If it wasn't for texting...son would have called on the phone, they'd a talked and no problem to arise. And only short characters and send back and forth...good grief a 5 minute phone call turns into a 20 minute text and often at the end, I still don't know what is going on..or what was decided as it went back and forth so long! I email (and snail mail!!!) and make a phone call. Most times if you are texting, youprobably shouldn't be...you should be paying attention to what you are doing or driving, or whatever!

I only have few friends in Facebook and I'm already tired reading all of their posts. So usually I just check if there is a message there then just go to My Lot instead. I fee like Twitter is like a waste of time also. I guess its also useless since I can't find any use on it.

I'm a member on Facebook, but I don't use it almost never. On Twitter I'm not still signed up. I think you need time to participate on Twitter or Facebook. You can find in Internet a lot of info how to use Twitter and how it works. At the moment I enjoy much more participating on MyLot.

I just visit Facebook to check if there's any messages from my friends. Afterwards I just go to My Lot and spend my time here. I don't read statuses posted by my friends unlike before. After I see that there's not notification, I close Facebook right away.

twitter is the small platform of blogging. Here you can follow your favorite players, actors and games. You can not only follow them you can also get updated on all the recent doing of them. It can be very means of entertainment. Also recently twitter was the platform that live the Killing of Osama Bin laden, a person twitter live tweeted the killing. Stay tweeted and stay updated.
