I am a dedicated distro hopper. I'm trying to find a new distro to play around with, but can't figure out what one I want to try. Right now I'm using CrunchBang. I've found it to be a very good distro, but I want to hop again. So, what's your favorite distro? Tell me why I should be using your preferred distro instead of CrunchBang (or why I should stay on CrunchBang)

There's no way to answer to your question. Most distros are quite similar on many things and it's actually a question of personal preference. Moreover, using a popular desktop manager, like Gnome or KDE, can make most distros even look the same - you will mostly notice differences on the package management system and the command line.
I personally am a fan of Debian and Sidux, because I like the way apt-get resolves dependencies and manages packages and because of the great control they give you on the system - your distro is not getting on your way when using the computer, like Windows or even Ubuntu and RedHat do.

But I just wanna find a new distro to play around with! I realize it's all personal opinion, but that's what I wanted, a distro someone else thought was good that I could play in.
