Have you ever rolled over on your pet?

NO! I have not rolled over my little Sherlock. But I was telling my dad when I came to see him how I woke up this morning and I was lying on my side, with Sherlock curled up against my back. He asked me if I was afraid I'd roll over on him. I'm not, because we are both very aware of each other. I move, he moves, He moves, I move. We both fall back asleep, but for the year and a half I've had him, I've never rolled over on him. He's a little guy, and he doesn't take up much room. But of course he likes to be as close to me as possible. Unless I'm hogging the covers.

The only pet I have ever had that used to sleep on the bed with me was a great dane called Ben when I was little and he used to push me out of bed rather than me ever roll on him so in answer to your question no. It is great that you allow Sherlock to sleep in with you though. Ellie :D

He used to push you out of bed? That's so cute. I'm picturing him with his head on your pillow.

LOL I have never rolled over onto my pets before, but I have accidentally sat on two of my cats when they were kittens! Both times they had sat on my chair while I was not looking, and both times I SAT down without looking first because I was not used to them being about!!

I can honestly say I have never rolled over onto my dogs. Main reason, our youngest is big for a year old. So she sleeps in between me and my husband so neither of us can move. It's so much fun at night with her and our beagle. If the beagle had her way, she would sleep as close to my husband or on my pillow. Now they might get kicked in the middle of the night, if they are laying on my husband's legs, they are used to it though.

Hi AmbiePam, I think I'm like you in that way, we're just too aware of each other other for that to happen, at least I hope so. I wouldn't want to roll over on Cuddles as she isn't very big either. Blessings.

My Hershey sleeps with me, usually against my back. I've never rolled over on him and he usually moves if when i start moving. I did wake up one morning to find him sleeping under a pillow.

We have a lot of company in our bed, two large cats, they both sleep next to my husband who will lay still, I move all time so they don't get near me. Good thing we have a king sized bed.

Gissi is mighty ferocious for a little guy. He just doesn't know that makes him even cuter!

Goodness gabs, if you ever did roll over on top of Gissi, you would REALLY get that Gissi look for a long time to come, right?

What kind of pet is little Sherlock? Cats can let you know under no pretenses that they are uncomfortable. In fact, if you are not careful, they can leave battle scars!

I havent but my husband has. I dont let out puppy on the bed but our cats sleep on the bed. If they do get under my husband they start meowing really loud and will wake me up. So then I go put them in the living room and shut our door.

WHen I had my dog it was the same...except when we watched tv....then he had to lay on my stomach! So I couldn't move before I took him off....when he did sleep with me the was very tuned into my motions and would instantly get off the bed or out of the way.

Sherlock does that too. If the TV is on he is on my stomach. He doesn't like it if I try to move him.

Oh yes ambie, I have rolled over on Star many times. He just seems to get in the way! Some times I have to jump over him to get out of bed in the dark to go to the bathroom and I accidently roll over on hi. He's an all black cat and it's impossible to see him in the dark and my bf doesn't like when I put the light on. It's bad enough that I have Star in the bed! He really hates that! Star has to be touching me all the time. Sometimes he has his paw and arm around me like a person. It's sooooo cute. I call him my loverboy cat! I've never had a cat like him before. None of my other cats were as affectionate as him. So the poor little guy does almost get squished from time to time, but he knows his mommie loves him alot!

I have my cat ( Gizmo ) in bed with me everynight ( as well as my husband ) I am not afraid of rolling over on her at all. I agree we are aware of each other all night long. And we more at the same times.. My husband on the other hand says I am a bed hog ( I have to make room for the cat!!! LOL) and a blanket hog..... I think that if I am so hard to sleep with.... then why does he ...LOL

No I haven't but I remember once when I was a kid my brother rolled over on my baby chick and killed it. I had left him in the care of my brother because I was going to stay with my grandma, only to find out that he fell asleep on it. Now as an adult I have dogs and One of them likes to get in between my husband and I. He likes to get squished between us. He knows he doesn't fit there but he still forces himself in between the both of us.

I think I have rolled over onto my dog before. My oldest one is 15 y/o and has slept with me up until the last few months. I'm sure I have rolled over on her at some point. Now my little dog Charlie curls up to my back and feels like he's tucking himself in under me. If I don't roll over him at some point I will be surprised.

My last pet that slept with me was when I was 9 - 13 - a boxer who was just about as big as me. I suspect if I rolled over on top of him he would let me know pretty quickly.

I've shared my bed with cats, dogs and babies as well as the hubby and I've never accidently rolled on one. I say 'accidently' as sometimes I use that trick to get the cat or hubby to move LOL! At least I can always blame the cats for holding the bedding down when hubby claims I'm hogging the covers! My dog doesn't sleep on the bed as she's a large German Shepherd and likes to spread out rather than curl up. It would be difficult to roll on her though, wouldn't it LOL

I haven't rolled on my dog yet - I've had her two years. But last week I woke up and she was laying on my head so... i picked her up and thinking that i would set her beside me I set her down "on the bed" well I was on the edge of the bed not realizing it until i heard her hit the floor. I dropped her off the bed. Poor puppy!

I had a cat once who insisted on sleeping in bed with us. I might have rolled over on her a time or two, but she had developed a self-preservation instinct and would only cuddle when I was only just falling asleep.

I can say that my cat are like you and your pet. He will cuddle with me and if I move to much he will just jump down and lay somewhere else. He never really laid i behind my back but mor on my side for I sleep on my stomach and he curls up along side me. I hope I never roll over on him for I would feel aweful not meaning to and all. It's nice to know he cuddles the way he does though.
