Angels, heaven, god? It all seems to be a little childish. Imaginary creatures and a pretend place in the sky, and people call me crazy. Yes, I know if you believe that there is a god then you believe that there is a devil. What if you believe in only evil? or the natural power of the earth? Are you going to hell for it? I enjoy my views on religion and write often about them. This is a test for all "religious followers" out there. Get upset at me and you are not following your faith. You are suppose to be tolerant of others. Of course, if you are a "christian" this is more true. And if I upset you and you judge me, you are going against your god. Funny how things work, I can do and say what I please and for you to judge me, you will go to "hell." Religion is fun and emotions will screw you over in the end.

I'm not quite sure what you were saying in any of that... but I can tell you are not a fan of Christians. I think you are misinterpreting what it takes to get to Heaven for a Christian. The Bible doesn't say people go to hell for judging one another... it says you will be judged in the same way that you judge others." Judging was just one of the many moral issues Jesus spoke about. And these are good ways to live. But according the the Christian faith, the path to heaven is not about keeping commandments, or being a "good" person. It's about accepting the grace we given by God, which says that we are unable to be perfect... and we need His intervention. We can never be good enough to go to Heaven according to Christianity.

It isn't that I have an issue or dislike for christians, it is that most are hypocrits. They aren't tolerant of others, and believe that if someone doesn't believe what they believe then those people are going to hell. I think the whole thing is just some fable or fairy tale to make people all hate each other. I don't hate people because of their faith, I don't judge people because of their "god." I hate people because of what they do, I judge people on their own personal being. I hate the concept of religion, but that is for a different discussion.

The hypocrites make it hard for me to remain a Christian, truthfully. But there are more good people than bad. It's hard to believe that when all over the news you see how horrible Christians are, but it's those simple and faithful people that prove there is hope in the world. I hate religion too, I hate it because it puts walls between people. God is my hope, not people... because we all fail each other, it's just our nature.

Interesting yet satirical...thanks :)
Problem is AEVAryONE has issues with other people for whatever reasons they deam important to them. For some its religion, others its race, yet others will find fault in the choice of education. People in general are intolerant...
You are no beter than the people you speak out against, because you are returning hate for hate, and categorizing people based on their religion. Without geting angry and intolerant , I can say you have me pegged all wrong. I am a CHristian but I do not believe in hell or eternal punishment, so where does that leave me? I also don't believe in pushing my beliefs onto anyone else...Sharing my stories (otherwise known as a testimony) yes, but trying to force people to believe as I do..no. We are all ut here for a purpose and with the ability to chose what we will do and how we will react to things. I try to choose the higher road...not saying it is better than any other just higher. In that I will not lower myself to the "hate" crap spewed all over in the name of God.
Inspired by another user here and another discussion, I am spreading my hand out to all mylotians who can look past a person's religion and see them for who they are...despite their beliefs or non beliefs. Can you put aside your own issues for the greater good??

It is the middle eastern, patriarchal, monotheistic religions that are the worst of them all. They actually believe that their "God" is the greatest and everybody else's "God" is a bogus. Sometimes, when I read the Islam versus Christianity posts over here, I feel like laughing.
When I was in school, we kids would boast: "My Daddy is a BIG policeman, and if you don't behave with me, I will tell him and he will beat you," to which another kid would respond, "My Daddy so rich that he can buy many police dogs, and he will come here to get you."
LOL ... These Islam versus Christianity posts really resemble the above dialog. The Muslims say their God is true and the Christians say Jesus is the only begotten son of God and blah blah. And the biggest joke is this: God Himself doesn't take part in it at all! He sits quietly in his sky. So far, nobody has seen Him! And down here, these insignificant bots fight.
