Why does a man like his woman to have long hair?

well i'm a woman, i could give maybe the exact answer to that, but before i asked my past boyfriend why they prefer, he told me that it is more attractive to see women long hair than with the one who has shorter hair...and because it seems like the girl is to boyish to see with short hairs...

That's a good question. I just cut my hair pretty short and my boyfriend dislikes it. I think men think that a woman is more "womanly" when she has longer hair. I think that's ridiculous, men should think a woman is beautiful regardless of the length of her hair. As long as it's healthy looking, I don't see an issue by it.

My hair is very fine so when it is long it looks flat and lifeless. I much prefer it shorter. It has more style and body to it. At the moment I have it very much like Kimberley from Pussycat Dolls and I have had it like Victoria Beckham before. If a man prefers long hair to short then tough lol. I look much better with short hair. It is up to the woman how she has her hair, not her husband so it shouldnt be a case of whether he allows her to have her hair cut or not. It is not his hair so not his decision. As ling as your hair looks niec and healthy and the style suits you it shouldnt matter what length it is.

Maybe long hair means women ,means beauty . And most women have long hair looks more beautiful than herself have short hair . for me , I have cut my hair when I was 20 , That looked like a boy ! I was so regret , and I sweared that I would never have my hair cut to that short again . Now I have a long hair ,though it is really a trouble to deal up every morning ,and in summary is so hot . But I love my black long hair. when the breezee blow my long hair ,I feel so good .and my husband like my long hair too . he always by me many beautiful headdress . At the moment he help me deal up my hair , I feel so happy.

Mostly yes, but not all. My husband is one of those who do not really mind whether the hair is long or short. What he wants is for me to keep my hair healthy. He wants my hair always shiny so I really keep it as such. I don't maintain a long hair because I am not blessed with thick hair so keeping it shorter is adviseable. The longest I had was shoulder length. Besides, as we grow older, shorter hair help us to look younger so at my age I'd rather keep it shorter. Besides,my husband told me I look more sophisticated when my hair is short so I keep it short to remain sophisticated in his sight.

I think it is just a nature thing, we all have intilled in us what the opposite gender attracts us so I think long hair is just one of the things that in mens brains makes them attract to women as there are certain things that makes attract to them...all in nature...an animal thing....

Well i'm not a amn so can't answer from a man's point of view, but i personally prefer myself with longer hair becuase i feel prttier and more femenine, so many a man realy likes longer hair on a woman becuase she looks more femenine and pretty? Also, i think long shiny hair is a sign of health and all men ant a healthy looking mate.

I think that it is a preference. My fiance said that he hates short hair, his words are that if he wanted to be with someone with short hair, he'd date a guy. So yeah...i've always had long hair so it doesn't bother me. Just like I won't date guys with really long hair, I prefer short hair. It's all a preference thing.

I really don't know why.I haven't asked my husband why he likes my hair long.Before i get so naughty (and makulit!) i'd cut it short......and he'd jokingly punched me here and there.And would say he has a boy wife...there it goes.Maybe for them it's more feminine-like if you have long hair.Happy posting!

I think that much of this preference is in part linked to the culture in which you live. For example, in cultures where it is traditional and accepted for women to have long hair and not so much for men to do so, I think that it is one of the "identifiers" that early in our lives helps us identify boys versus girls and so is seen as "feminine". I think, therefore, that boys develop a preference for long hair on girls and many carry that preference into adult life. I don't think most of them really think about why they have that preference; I think it almost becomes an automatic reflex. Where I think that can become an issue is that I think it can be more difficult, though certainly not impossible, for adult women (especially as they age) to continue to look as good with long hair. Although I know that many women can carry off long hair even after they are old and gray, I think that it is more difficult to do so, especially as long hair when worn down can have a face lengthening effect -- which is not so desirable when your face is no longer as firm as it once was. Also, I think that long hair can be more difficult to not only manage, but also to wear in environmets such as professional offices where long hair can be seen as more frivilous.

Girl with long hair looks really beautiful. I don't know why, but it is more of a faminine way. Perhaps it is a mystery just as you can't know why you love some one.

If woman have hair short i scared i can't or difficult to different she is a girl or a boy. So, if i have girlfriend, i like her long hair.

Long or short hair......It's not a big deal for me as long as she can carry herself...It depends if how you look at it
