When I was a child, I like to eat unpeeled apple, there is an spacial sweet. But as time goes by, I know from newspaper they spray more and more insecticide on the apple. Peasants don't spray insecticide if they are for export becouse there is inspection. But actually no one in charge of domestic fruid safety.
If insecticide using is under control in your country and do you peel apple before have it?

Unlike you, we are quite different in this matter.
When I was still a child until the days before I got married, I was used to peeling off the apple's skin before eating it. I wanted to eat it without any skin peel, seeds, and preferrably cut into small portions.
I've been married for more than five years now and somehow, I could say that my husband has influenced my preferences. For instance regarding this matter, he told me that the peeling is nutritious, too. So, I considered this as an additional waste if I would take the peel off the apples and grapes. But I make sure that I wash it well because our daughter likes fruits very much, and I'm quite thankful for it.
If I'm right, we don't grow these fruits locally. I belive that they need or grow well in places with cool temperatures. We are a tropical country and there are a few places here with cool temperatures, like Baguio City (summer capital of the Philippines). But growing or planting these fruits aren't their priority. They have cabbages, baguio beans, lettuce, strawberries, carrots, and other crops which they grow there.

I admire you can have it without peeling. I also dream eating unpeeled apple. But we export no pollution fruit but pay no attention to fruit safety of domestic market.

I used to never peel an apple earlier but these days with the use of pesticide and insecticide going up I feel it is safer to peel them. Even my doctor has told me to peel them as washing does not 100% clear the apple from the insecticides.

I used to peel and unpeel it when i was younger, but if your a health freak like me than you would be better off leaving the skin on there. Most of the nutrients and fiber is in it. It also helps lower cholesterol.

Hello,Lixiaooos! During my college days I had read somewhere that when eating an apple you just peel the skin with a knife.while peeling the apple some portions of your brain gets activated.since then i have been eating apples peeling myslf and adviced my children to peel up while eating.besides by peeling the apple we reduce the risk of effects of insecticides that might have been sprayed by the growers when it was in the tree to save from the insects.thanx.

Usually, for my own, I will jusah wash the apples and eat them. But for the kids, I will peel first. The skin seems a bit hard to chew and swalllow and I did'nt want them to choke on the apples.

hi
i think unpeeled apple is good for our health...we use to eat raw apple only..
before eating apple wash it cleanly with hot water and salt....unpeeled apples are good for small children because they are soft to chew and also good for growth...

I love eating apples.. I ate it as it is.. I don't peel it because for me the best thing to eat apple is the outside one.. I like to eat it when it is really in red color because it is very sweet and most of all crunchy.. I also wash it before I eat it of course, so that the germs or bacteria will somehow gone.. I know not all but at least, it is somehow clean..

I eat apple as it is. I dont peel it at all. There nutrients that are in the cover of the apple. The insecticides, I really dont know bout them but my mom washes the apple with water first before we eat it.
