I get up every morning around 6 am and get my husband off to work and then i sit and watch the news and enjoy a cup of coffee. This morning there was something on there that really baffled me. There was and 11 year old boy who at 3 am went into a walgreens with 2 guns and robbed the place. How many of you out there knows where your child is at 3 am. What did he need the money for? Is he on drugs? Is his parents on drugs? How can this happen. I know when i was raising kids when i got up in the middle of the night i went in and checked on my kids.
And another thing to What about Caylee. There is no way i would wait 31 days to report my child missing. She had to have killed that baby or she knows who did. I don't believe that baby is alive and if she is she was sold into slavery or something of that matter. I am so glad my children are grown, but am so scared for my grandchildren. But my daughter keeps a very good eye on her kids. They do not get out of her sight. Except when they come to visit me but them i don't let them out of my sight. Not even in back yard.
What was surprising in your news this morning?

that is really scary... that's why i am so scared to raise a child in this crazy world nowadays... i really need God's grace to be able to raise a child that fear God so that he/she can grow up to be a person that is pleasing to God and also the community... i know it is not easy but i will keep on praying and ask for wisdom from Him... i don't have a child yet at this moment and i am preparing myself... take care and have a nice day...

Good luck in your preperation that is the best part. You have the right idea. I believe if you install the right morals and live by those morals the kids might mess up every now and then but how do we all learn.

Well, here is another case where I believe that the parents are just as responsible for the crime as the child is. Who doesn't know where an 11 year old child is at 3 a.m. ? I believe that parents need to be held more accountable for their childrens' actions at young ages.
As far as Caylee, I believe that mother knows exactly where she is and what happened to her and just won't talk. I would be amazed if she was alive but who knows. She might have been sold or traded for something.

I have to agree with you. I have seen parents that should never be parents. I believe a girl of 12 years old should be put on birth control and not taken off of it until she has been mentored in the aspectes of having a baby and what all comes with it. They need to realize that they no longer have a life that the child is their life and every descion should be desided as to how it will affect the child.

It's unbelievable about poor baby Caylee, that mother sold that child or killed her. Then the elected officals want to give themselves a raise when we can't even balance the City (Chgo) budget, but lets raise our taxes and cut programs. Then Rev Sharpton and some Aldermen want children to boycott the first day of school (my sons are in school already, they go year round) and go to the welthy suburbs to get enrolled there becuae supposedly city kids aren't getting the supplies and the best teachers. Otherwise the usual B.S.

my lord where were the parent(s) at 3am? i know where my kids are at 3am. they are all in thier beds sleeping unless we are having a bad storm then we are all in one bed, cause the kids are afraid of storms. sometimes at 3am my baby girl is in my arms as i try to get her back to sleep. i always know where my kids are, they aren't allowed to go anywhere without me or hubby or another adult i trust with them. heck i don't even let my 8 yr old walk to school alone or with other friends unless theres at least one adult. theres too many wierdos in this world nowadays to let your kids go off alone.

The stories of neglect are awesome.
There are parents who either cannot or don't care about their children and these are growing in number.
Its not something we can understand easily because their world is beyond ours in terms of rationality.
We just have to understand that our civilisation is breaking up.

I agree but what they don't understand is we have to pay for it in the long run. Who is going to be running this country when we get old.

It's an fantastic morning, our headline could just as easily have read. The 24 year old Abhinav Bindra of chandigarh hits bulls eye in Beijing giving us first ever individual olympic gold for India. This is one of the surprising news this morning for me.
