I hope what your friend bought is not fake, during my trip in china, i bought an 8gb flash drive worth about $10 when that time an 8gig costs 80-90 dollars, we bought many to give as gift. when you look at the properties, it really is 8 gig, i put files in it and it is there, but when i retrieve it, like copy , i cant copy anything and formatting can damage it, i found out from some forum that there are like that in china which are also sold on ebay, some fakes from china.

I think that pendrive is made by China. China has a special ability to creat the same product which is lower class quality and all of this in a very cheap price. I am sure it will be in no use after two or three months. Its totally impossible to give a 32GB pendrive such a cheap price. Whatever he is happy so I'm happy.

Wow, it's very unpredictable. I will buy immediately the pendrive. It was like a harddisk can save many things on it. Now, I just have 4Gb pendrive. I can't buy 8GB pendrive because it is very expensive. It cost around $45. I hope it is not a fake kingstone that not produce by the real company because from the price comparison, it is very impossible to sell on that price.

Hi,
I am from Chennai. Two days back, i met two strange persons selling 32 GB Kingston Pendrive for Rs.700. I think these may be smuggled goods.Becuase if the manufacturing cost does nt go below say 1400, then how it can be sold at loss.So definitely, it should be like that.

The pendrive is simply fake..
i purchased it and now i am suffering..
only 230mb of data is copied to the drive correctly though 32g is copied to the drive by our pc..
its a wastage of money...

Hey Venky, I too have purchased the KINGSTON 32 GB Pendrive yesterday from a guy riding cycle. He said its cheap and he got it from some loot. I was going to office early morning 8:30 am , in Pune, carrying my laptop. This cycle guy passing nearby, asked me, if I need a 32 GB PD at low rate. I was looking for one, he asked me to check in my laptop, however my laptop's battery was down. He asked a sum of 1000 and after telling him am poor, he gave it to me at 500 rs. It is fake Kingston but has 32 GB space, I have used 6 GB and there is no problem in copy paste, add and delete.
I hope this helps.
Cheers

Hi all,
That will surely be a fake.
I bought one 32 gb KINGSTON pendrive from eBay at 1400 and it seemed to be very cheap to me as the current market price is around 3500.
I received the item few days back and found that its not working and the seller has closed his account. So had no option other than calling KINGSTON customer Care to check if the warranty can be used.
From the customer care executive I came to know that Kingston's latest release 32 gb pen drive is a Swing model pen drive (with out any cap) and it comes only in black.
He also confirmed that I had been DUPED and obviously, i can't avail any warranty.
My model looked like the regular data traveler models (with CAP).
you can confirm by calling the customer care

I was a little perplexed when I first read this discussion because there is nothing unusual about a 32Gb pendrive and they are available in much higher capacity now. I realised as soon as I noticed the age of the discussion that it was a very old one that had been resurrected by someone responding.

I bought one 32GB Kongston today for 200 bucks.. its working fine till first 3GB.
Even if its working only till 4 to 5 GB , its worth the price if it can last.
Has someone else got one working fine till first 3 GBs?
