I like shredded carrots, sunflower seeds, garlic salt and pepper, and chick peas in my salad.

chick peas - chickpeas or garbanzo beans
They're also called garbanzo beans. They're very tasty and can be pureed to make hummus. I added a picture of some.

There are many different things I put on my green salad. It can be in any number of combinations, also. Here are a lot of what I like to put on my salad: chick peas, black beans, or red beans; green bell pepper; sunflower seeds; soy nuts; raisins; mushrooms; mild peppers; sliced carrots; tomatoes; cauliflower; chopped cucumber; and chopped zucchini. I like to use Italian, ranch, and Mullens' Imitation French Dressing on my salads, too.
