Being from the United States I have never heard of Pinoy Lechon Kawali. So I was curious to know just what it is. I did some research and found out that Lechon Kawali is boiled then fried pork belly. I looked at some pictures too. I don't think that I would like it because it has way to much fat.

Yes it may not be appealing to those who are health buffs but trust me, you should really try eating it. And then maybe you'll change your mind and realize that all the cholesterol is worth it :P

I also like the vinegar and soy sauce dip but I prefer it with Crispy Pata. Sarap!

i love lechon kawali. it is really delicious especially when dipped in soysauce-vinegar combo and eaten with rice! now that i am living in sweden, it is one food i really miss eating. i tried making it here one day but just can't make it perfect. that's why i promise myself that when we go home next year for a vacation in the philippines, i will surely eat lechon kawali there!

I like lechon baboy also but I only like the ones from Cebu. You can eat it without sauce because the meat is tasty as is.
