I met baby bird on the ground several times. It might be tired because of learning flying and it coundn't fly. I pick it up and put it on the roof of bungalow for fear that kids would catch it and take it as a toy.
What will you do when you find a baby bird which can't fly?

This did happen to me. And, it wasnt that long ago. Maybe about a month ago or so. I was walking in my neighboorhood up to the store, and I noticed a small, very small, baby bird on the ground. I figured it must have fallen out of it's nest. I didnt know what to do. The next people that I seen come by, I stopped them and showed them the bird. They told me it would be best not to pick the baby up or touch it at all because the mother might not recognize my smell on the baby and then kill it. I felt so bad for it though. It was lying right in the middle of the sidewalk and I feared that it might get stepped on.
I sat there a little watching it and I noticed a bird flying strangely around that kept landing close to the baby bird.I assumed that this larger bird may be the baby's mother. At least I hoped it was. I felt bad, but I decided to walk away hoping maybe without my close presence that the mother bird would get her baby.
The next day, the baby bird wasn't there. I hope that the mother had gotten it.

I once found a bird on our terrace, when I was a child. I took it in with much interest and mom joined in and together we cared for it. We took an old shoe box, made several small holes in it and kept the bird there. We gave it water and seeds in small bowls and after a few days it seems stronger. We eventually released it.
