Happiness is a choice! We choose to be happy! Genuine happiness comes from within and cannot come from the outside. This is usually achieved when a person knows how to appreciate what he has and realizes the positive in him and things around him. It does not matter if he owns just a cent or he owns millions of money. Happy people are usually optimists who search for the positive in everything. There is always a positive in anything and everything if you find time to look for them. It is just like looking at a glass of water as eiher half empty or half full. It all depends upon you. How do you look at life?

I totally agree with you Jenaisle. I am always telling people about happiness being a state of mind. I had this man here at work tell me "you must live a good life because you're always happy and smiling" I told him, "I'm blessed." I choose to be happy most of the time regardless of any situation I'm in. Trust me, I'm broke (but not poor), I'm frustrated (not defeated), tired (but haven't given up), worried (but I have faith), and relentless because I'm optimistic.
So I beleive and know what you're talking about becasue it's the people that think "If I only had...I'd be happy" who aren't and will never be happy. You have your mind, health, a full belly, a home (not house or dream car) but a home go to and lay your head you should feel blessed and happy because so many people do not. The bible says to be happy but seek joy. So I can say I'm joyous in the Lord and I'm not that religious but I believe in this.

You are so right, I have known for a long time that happiness is a choice, no matter what the situation I can look at it how I want to and choose to happy or not over it.
I choose happiness, and if we look even when bad things happen there is good that comes out of it. So one should be happy for the bad that good will come. :)
