Yahoo messenger cannot make a call to a telephone and you maybe already knowing that there is a fee in case of skype. not only this skype is meant to call pc-pc not pc-phone. and the person you're calling should have skype account as well

I place phone calls with Yahoo phone all the time. It costs me 1 cent per minute.

Thanks for this info, I will have a look at it as soon as I get time. I am a bit wary of downloading programs on my computer as that is how people spread viruses, but it sounds like it is worth checking out.

congratulations!!!!! But this voip setup does not allow you to call anywhere.....only a few countries.
