Which is More Stable and User Friendly Operating System

hello sat, For me before WinXP it was Win98, really stable OS that time. But now I still stick to WinXP SP2, upgrading to SP3 is quite not needed yet as for my use. For Linux, there's some distro out there that is user friendly and also stable, this just depends on how familiar such user to a such distro. Mandriva is one, Ubuntu also. Good day :)
