Yikes! Have you ever used another persons toothbrush or razor?
No, I don't mean by accident, I mean on purpose.
I haven't used another persons razor, but I have long ago used another persons
toothbrush.
Yes, I know that it is unsanitary. But there you are, not meaning to spend
the night and you wake up the next morning with your mouth feeling horrible.
I was younger then and now I wouldn't use another persons toothbrush.
I always keep extra toothbrushes on hand here, so if anyone stays over without one,
I offer a new one, then they may take it home after use. I have done that a few
times in the past.
So tell me, have you or would you use another persons razor or toothbrush?

No I have never used another persons toothbrush or razor, these items are just to personal for me. If I find myself without a toothbrush I would just use my finger with some toothpaste on it and brush my teeth that way, it would help a little.

That is what I would do, also. I am sure that it would be better than not
cleaning your teeth at all. I am usually a sharing person but you have to draw
the line somewhere..lol
Thanks for responding :)

because it makes the blades dull. So, I don't :)

hey, just like you said, using someone else's toothbrush or razor can be very dangerous. you will be infected with some kind of disease you know.
i thikn it is better for us not to use others' toothbrush or razor, so why not just buy those thing yourself then?
i would carry my toothbrush and razor everywhere i go. i think it is kind of personal stuff that we almost and for sure use every day.
hey
have a good day.

Yes, it is very personal and I wouldn't use another person's toothbrush.
I was very young when I did the once and was very uncomfortable.
I agree, there are some nasty diseases that you can contract through
sharing razors if you don't know the person or if they are not family members.
We don't share razors here, either.
Thanks nicknick for sharing :)

I would never use someone else's toothbrush, I have used my mums razor before, when I stop over once I forgot mine so i used hers. That was only because she's my mum. i wouldnt use anyone else's though!!
If I forgot my toothbrush I would put some toothpaste on my finger and use that. Then when I get home I will scrub my teeth with my toothbrush!!

Using another person's razor doesn't seem nasty to me if it is family.
But the toothbrush..yuck..that is another matter. I would probably use
my finger also.

OMG, no I have never used someone elses toothbrush or razor
and I would never think about using either no matter what.
That is really a disgusting thought. It is totally unhealthy,
and unsanitary. I can't imagine anyone wanting to use something
as intimate as either of those things under any circumstances.
I actually have extra toothbrushes and disposable razors in
case someone needs them.

Yep, using the toothbrush is over the top for me. It makes me a
little sick to think of it.
I do the same as you, I have extra toothbrushes and razors on hand and
have had some actually need the brushes.
Thanks for responding, Opal.

I've used another's razor but not a toothbrush.I don't think it's absurd because somehow, somewhere, someone has done this as attested to by the posts and comments here. The idea is ludicrous indeed but when people are in a hurry, you just grab whatever you find or accept what you are offered.

Yep, it wouldn't be a discussion if it hadn't all been done before.
It seems that a quite a few have done both!
Thanks so much for responding, coffeebeatnik :)

i haven't done that. my mother taught me about respecting others' personal stuffs and that it's not healthy to borrow such things. so, i grew up putting those learnings alive. just like you, i always have extra unused toothbrushes just in case of emergency and extra razors.

Yes, and I think is it a good practice to follow.
I do respect others personal possessions also.
That is why when my husband asked me not to
use his razor, I will not do it out of respect for him.
Thank you for responding :)

I have never done that and I never will do that. There is no way my mouth would ever feel horrible enough for me to want to use another person's toothbrush.

Yeah, now the thought of another person's toothbrush
in my mouth does turn my stomach, also.
The razor, no it doesn't, but I still won't do it out
of respect for other's personal property.

Noooooo, never. Id hate putting anybodys toothbrush in my mouth. If the occassion arises, Id take toothpaste on my finger and clean my teeth and tongue, but never with anothers toothbrush. A razor is also actually dangerous, because it could be infected and if that person is suffering from aids, heavens forbid if we should cut ourselves with that razor. So, Id rather be without both.

Yes, AIDS comes to mind using another person's razor.
That is why I would never use another person's unless they were family,
like my husband because I know he is not infected with anything.
I don't use his anyhow. I just use disposable ones.

Good day...Honestly I use my partner's toothbrush when ever I forget to bring my own. She isn't bother by it and I actually ask her if it does. For me since we're sharing bodily fluids what could be better or even worse than that!

As long as you are both comfortable with it then I don't
see what it matters. I like your thinking,
sharing bodily fluids what could be better than that...
Thanks for sharing blackmantra :)

My boyfriend once used my toothbrush when we have our over night with our friends.. He forgot to bring his own toothbrush then I told him that he can used my toothbrush.. Actually, I am thinking that he might not used it but he did.. Maybe because he don't have choice and he is not comfortable already ...

Maybe he really wanted to have a clean mouth and decided to use yours
regardless of his feelings towards it. At least it didn't bother you
to share yours :)
Thanks for sharing!

I probably would not use another's toothbrush either.

I have used my mans toothbrush before, after all, there's nothing on the toothbrush I haven't been exposed to.
and razors, this is even more common. I've used my partners, and even my stepdads.
it's a long running joke that one of the cons of being the alpha male of the household is that everyone nabs your razor.

That's true about the toothbrush and exposure if it is
your partner.
Growing up we were forbidden to use our father's razor.
But, someone would at times use it, when this happened, he would have a fit because the blades were dull.
There were 3 of us sisters but it was probably
my mom that used it..lol

yes, i certainly have. umm..not the razor, like you, i have tried using somebody else's toothbrush... but it was not yucky or anything like that. why? because i use my boyfriend's tooth brush! instead i felt touched that he offered me his toothbrush. well what happened is that we were eating in his place, and of course i didn't bring my tooth brush with me. after eating, he went to the sink, washed his toothbrush, placed toothpaste on it and handed it to me, i was reluctant at first, since it was the first time that somebody shared his toothbrush with me, but i did use it and i kissed him after i brushed my teeth using his brush! i so love him..:)

I have used another persons razor before. But they had extra blades, so I used a brand new one and tossed it after I was done. I have only ever accidently used someone elses toothbrush. It was my boyfriends and I was so tired I grabbed what I thought was mine but only realized after that it was his...never done it on purpose though.
@saigonwarrior (1331)

And that was a good idea too.
Yeah, it's bad to use another person's toothbrush, but at least it was not
intentional. It is gross.
Thanks for responding, samijo :)

I could use my husband's razor, no problem, either.
I just don't because he has asked me not to. Mainly
because a woman's leg hairs dull the blades so quickly
and not some sort of aversion to me using it.
Thanks for sharing and welcome to mylot!
