What will you do when you don't feel like doing anything?

I was in that situation just now. Very free, nothing to do and feel very lazy to do anything! Unfortunately, I am at the office now. My boss is still on vacation and will be back in September. I finished my work, tried to surf online but my internet connection seems to be very slow nowadays. My Yahoo Messenger keeps signing in and out for no reason. I want to chat with my husband but feel fed up with the messenger. No notification from MyLot at all. Tried to update my profile but didn't feel like doing it... I tried to read the newspaper...just feel so lazy.... If I am at home, I will definitely go to sleep and just staring at the wall maybe.... Do you ever feel that lazy that you don't know what to do at all or don't want to do anything?

I have just joined another site and this is my 2nd so kinda busy exploring here! LOL!

How I wish I have 1000 of discussions in my e-mail right now *sighs* It is a bit quiet but I managed to post a few discussions here. I am glad that I did that, at least I came out with some posts. Doesn't matter whether it gets good response or not, as long as I can hear from my usual friends here (like you...), I am more than happy *smiles*

Oh, wow this is one of my biggest problems if you mean a lot of spare time cause just a little I can kill with a game. If I really should be doing something useful but don't have a slave driver (boss) than I need to write down all that needs to be done and give myself a deadline else I do nothing I'm that lazy, unmotivated :(

Sometimes I do feel unmotivated *smiles* In fact I have things that I can do to kill the time but I just don't feel like doing it. My boss is away, and I don't really have that much workload these days. I should fully utilize my free time. It's a rare occasion for me *smiles*
its good to be free without the supervision of the boss..well sometimes i feel that too but in my house..when boredom sets in ..then sometimes i go out or just watch tv...@gr8life (6251)

Hello vanities,
I am hoping for so long for this time to come where I don't have to worry about my boss (he sits right to my left so he can see whenever I am mylotting here *laughs*) But when it really comes, I feel a bit bored until to the extent that I don't know what else I should do to kill the time. I bet I get used to be busy *laughs* If I am at home, I will definitely take a nap for awhile and forget about everything. Anyway, I am back for good now! *smiles*

I felt this kind of situations many times. Actually there is a reason for this. In my country power failure is a big problem. So i have nothing to do for 3 or 4 times a day. Whenever there is power failure it takes 1 hour to come back. So this time i have nothing to do at all.
Every time i can not go outside to pass time. When i am at home i think about the good times & laugh myself. My mother once noticed & got worried that there is something wrong with me.lol
For me thinking about hte good times is the best time pass. Although this does not happen all time. Some time i do not want to think about any thing at all. That time becomes difficult to pass.

Is that so? It is very seldom we have to experience a power failure but since there is only one big company which really provides broadband (and it is the cheapest) here, internet problem is such a mess. Hey, I just 'woke up' from my wonderland and now, I need to get back to my real life *smiles*

When I don't feel want to do anything,I will watch movies if I am at home. If I am working during that time, I will finish my works as soon as possible and sit there daydreaming waiting for the off time. That's what I usually do when I feel bored and don't know what to do at my workplace. Luckily,there is a television at my workplace,when I am bored and have finished off all the works,I will watch television,lol.

I think I get used to be very busy and when it happens, I feel so lost *smiles* I have some novels and magazines with me, plus the daily newspapers and a TV too, but they seem not too attractive to me *smiles* I just feel like I don't want to do anything at all though I have things to do but it feels weird though...

I do felt lazy sometimes even when the time I am sitting in my computer here in MyLot but the thing that I do is to leave it for a while and take a nap and when i woke up I still feel the same way then I do not have other choice but to make it off or shutdown......

I think I was sleepy that day as I didn't get enough sleep a day before. My inbox is cleared and I didn't have any new notifications. Sometimes when you feel bored, nothing can really attract you. I tried to read a novel/magazine, tried to log on here and tried to call some friends just to chat but oh, well! I still felt so bored.

I've been that lazy before. If I don't really have anything to do, I'll find something to do that will keep me entertained for awhile. If I have to do something and it's important but I don't feel like doing it, I'll force myself to get moving. Once I get moving it's usually easier for me to accomplish what I need to get done.

I really didn't have anything to do just now. I finished up my work earlier but the problem is, I feel too lazy to do anything at all. My boss is not around; he is on a long holiday until next month so I brought some novels and magazines to office just in case I need them to kill the time *smiles* But well, just don't feel like doing anything...

That is a problem... during the times when i had nothing to do in the office... i would just do a lot of things here in mylot... and it will really upset me if there is no internet connection... when that happens... i would just go home early... i am allowed to do that... as long as i have already called the secretary of my boss...
If you are allowed to go home early... why don't you just do that... your time would be more productive... and you could be with your baby...

I was glad when I got to know that I can spend more time here while my boss is away *smiles* But things seem to be very slow nowadays. Maybe I didn't get enough sleep for the past few days, we went out at night and came back quite late. That made me really tired and sleepy today... I checked my old discussions and realized that I have so many pending comment for my good friends here. Ah...what am I going to do now?

Of course I do! And I am now quite used to this situation and have found my own way to deal with it.
I have collected a lot of interesting things like books, articles and many things that I want to learn like some other languages or computer skills. And every time I feel*blank*, I will get out those things and enjoy.
So, try to prepare for such situation during your daily time:)

Thanks for your tips. I don't know that you have so much free time while working *smiles* I have novels and magazines with me but just feel too lazy to do anything. I seldom get this 'freedom' *laughs* But you gave me a good idea - maybe I should start to learn something new and can practice it whenever I am free. Thanks again!

Yup, and if the internet is so slow...it's boring having to wait for the screen pages to change.
I don't really like chit-chatting on the phone, so that's out for me. I'd most likely do some writing on the articles I've outstanding..or read a book, if I could remember to bring one to the office!

Well usually I would just sit down and stare into an empty space. It's somewhat resting my brain from all the stress that it received. Also if I don't fell like doing anything I just get my deck of cards, so some fancy shuffles and flourishes and maybe even a trick or two.
