I met my husband online. We were friends for awhile before we even met in person. The first date lasted almost 2 days!

Let's see. I remember most of the date - it was 6 years ago. I know we went out to dinner and a movie, then we hung out with some of his friends, ate at Denny's (at like 3am falling asleep on each other lol), then we did something else (I don't remember what) then went to my parents house that afternoon to watch a movie, went out for dinner and partying, somehow ended up at his Mom's then sometime the next afternoon I dropped him off at his car. I wonder if he remembers all that - I bet not!

I met with my girl friend 3 years ago online on mirc and then we continu chatting on msn, We still together but we are far for now about being married. When we talk the first time on mirc, she did not liked me because she told that I chat too much, but after I confinced her to met and we met, she begin to see the difference from caht room to the real me and she begin to interest in me and in fact we still together after 3 years +
I met many of my new friends from caht rooms, but my best friend I met them from real life not from a virtual palce. Yeah on online chatting is like you have much more confidence in your self to talk to someone you are not seeing but it is better to talk with a real person in front of his eyes.

Yes my hubby and I met because of an AOL Penpal forum. I had just broke up with my boyfriend and decided to take a break from relationships for a while. I was bored one night and decided to get online and just surf for a couple of hours. I discovered a Penpal forum on AOL. It was just for people looking for friends all over the world. So I posted a short bio and specified that I wasn't looking for romance, just a penpal.
The next day I got an e-mail from a guy living in another state. He seemed very nice and was also looking for a penpal so I e-mailed him back and we decided to get on instant messenger and chat for a bit. We talked for hours and he was so nice.
We talked every day for about 3 months before finally deciding to meet in person. We were about 500 miles apart but he was willing to drive to my house. I was nervous to the extreme. I was really getting emotionally attached to this guy and I thought the feeling was mutual!
The day for our meeting arrived and I was so scared and nervous.. we had exchanged photos but neither of them were very good so we really didn't know what the other looked like. I watched his van pull up behind the garage but I waited at the back door. When he came around the side of the garage and I got my first look at him, I said to myself "That's the man I'm going to spend the rest of my life with." He looked up at me from the bottom of the stairs and the look on his face was priceless and I knew he was thinking the same thing. He dropped his suitcase and ran up the stairs and kissed me. It was so perfect.
We took it slow though, didn't want to rush into anything. So for the next year, once a month he would drive up to my house and once a month I drive to his. Nothing ever changed from that first meeting so we decided it was time to move in together. I already owned a house (he had a tiny apartment) so he said he'd move into my house with me. That was 1999 and we're still together and going strong as ever.
Neither of us were embarrassed about telling anyone how we met. Everyone thinks it's a great story.

I would be nervous to meet people online because you really dont know people until you see them in real life. One time my uncle went on a blind date with someone he met online and when he got there the lady looked NOTHING like how she had described herself. Needless to say the date didnt end to well.

I have met a couple of people online before. None of them were people I got married to. I would not be embarassed to tell people how you met. I'm sure there are alot of people meeting online these days. It's kind of a new and trendy thing to do.

I did i met my partner in a family chatroom on Hi5.
We spoke for about 3-4 months before he asked me out.
We met up and it was the same with us love at first sight.
I also told my dad where and why i was going to meet him before i met him so he knew the whole story.
Have never been embarrased to tell his or my family how we met as both sides have seen that we are meant for each other.
His family have welcomed me and my children with open arms and its the same with my family.

It was not me but my friend who met her partner online, both are very spiritual kinda character and they fell in love before even being as a friend , they both like their charcter which was attrating each , i think they met through orkut. It was fine with them now as he is elder than her he is working and she is in her college they are still in love and they are still growing strong, iknow him very well i have seen him once.. they are made for each other, he comes and meet her very often and they hang out .They havent told their parents yet and yes she told me that she is confused on what to her parents about their love , and he has no problem with it because he is the younger one and his parents will understand him.!!

I met my s/o in a yahoo chatroom, it was geared towards our respective careers. We met on line a little over 3 years ago. Three weeks after we met online he flew down and we spent a week together, he met my parents, and both my daughters. A week after he got back home (1600 miles away) we were making plans for me to move to his house. 2 months after our initial meeting online we were living together. He told his mom and dad that he had met me online and was flying down for us to meet in person, they thought it was great. I didn't tell my parents how we met, simply because my mom is more old school and does not like the idea of chatting online with people you don't know lol. I did however tell my sister and my daughters and they all thought it was cool.

I met one of my boyfriends online. Actually it was through msn. I was takling to his best friends little brother. The brother thought itd be funny to randomly add him so he did. He ended up added me too and we talked for like 5 hours a day for a year. We finally got the guts to meet and started dating right away. We dated for a year and 2 months after that.
